Aldemir Doubles Against Antonius

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Koray Aldemir opened the button to 2,000. Patrik Antonius three-bet to 8,000 from the big blind and Aldemir jammed for almost 29,000. Antonius snap-called.

"Nice PLO hand," Antoinius said after he turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and saw Aldemir had {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Aldemir stayed ahead the entire way and even got a set on the turn as the {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} fell on the board.

Mizrachi Takes Out Adams

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams' second bullet went about the same as the first and has just re-entered for his third bullet.

Adams opened to 1,600 from the cutoff before he called a three-bet of 5,100 from Robert Mizrachi from the small blind.

Mizrachi open-jammed a big stack on the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} board and got Adams quickly called off for about 20,000.

Adams turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and needed an ace or a club to beat the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} turned over by Mizrachi. The {5-Spades} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river were blanks for Adams and Mizrachi picked up the pot.

Mizrachi Felts Ruijs

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Koray Aldemir and Joris Ruijs
Koray Aldemir and Joris Ruijs

Joris Ruis raised a bet from Robert Mizrachi to about 6,000 after the {q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} came on the flop with about 3,000 in the pot. Mizrachi jammed for less than 20,000 and Ruijs called for less.

Robert Mizrachi: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Joris Ruijs: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Mizrachi was behind when all the chips got in the middle but completed his open-ended straight draw after the {3-Hearts} came on the turn. Ruijs left the tournament, at least for now, after the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Byrraju Onto Third Bullet

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Rahul Byrraju and Patrik Antonius
Rahul Byrraju and Patrik Antonius

Timothy Adams opened to 500 from the small blind before Rahul Byrraju raised to what seemed to be 5,000 from the big blind. Adams went all-in for more than the 10,800 Byrraju had total to start the hand and got a call.

The players agreed to not show their hands until after the {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board ran out.

"I have a pair," Adams said as he flipped over {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

The pocket fives were good enough as Byrraju turned over {k-Spades}{j-Spades} to be on the losing end of a flip. Byrraju quickly re-entered for his third bullet after the hand.

Jouhkimainen Leaves Byrraju with Crumbs

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Joni Jouhkimainen
Joni Jouhkimainen

Rahul Byrraju made a pot-sized bet of 8,500 on the river with the {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the board. Joni Jouhkimainen waited for the shot clock to wind down before he jammed for 41,800.

Byrraju used a time bank ticket before he made the call. He mucked his hand after Jouhkimainen turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush.

Get Ready for the PAPC €10,200 Championship Event

PAPC
PAPC

It's another huge day for the Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC) at the Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park. Not only will the PAPC €1,500 Main Event play down to an eight-man final table but the two-day PAPC €10,200 Championship Event is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. EEST.

The Championship Event will be just the third five-figure buy-in event in Estonian history with the second one taking place earlier this week after Pauli Ayras won the PAPC €25,000 High Roller for €163,300. After his win, Ayras shared he would likely be one of the players also participating in the Championship Event.

There are many high stakes players in attendance at the PAPC. However, due to the two player's parties last night and the plethora of high-stakes cash games running into the morning, it remains to be seen which of them enter today's big event.

The tournament features an eight-max structure until there are twelve players remaining when the tournament transforms to a six-max structure. Players start off with a healthy stack of 40,000 in chips. Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the late registration period, which will close after the seventh blind level.

Blind levels will be 20-minutes for the first seven levels. The structure becomes deeper after late-registration is closed with blind levels increasing every 30 minutes.
