Victory For Delgado

Level 7 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

After the hijack raised to 40,000, the player on the button shoved all in for his last 84,000 and Vicente Delgado called from the big blind. Despite the good price, the player in the hijack folded and the cards were on their backs.

It was Delgado's {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} versus the button's {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Delgado spiked a queen on the {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and held up after the {6-Diamonds} turn and {j-Clubs} river, which scored him the knockout.

Back To Back For Ashraf

Level 6 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Waheed Ashraf opened up the very next hand to 27,000 from the cutoff and Armin Mette three-bet to 115,000 from the small blind. After a little deliberation, Ashraf made the call, and the players went heads up to a {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. Both players checked before the {10-Spades} came down on the turn.

Mette checked the action over a second time and Ashraf bet 75,000. Mette called quickly, bringing the players to the {2-Clubs} on the river. Both players checked it to showdown and Ashraf whipped over {k-Spades}{j-Spades} to scoop up back-to-back pots.

Waheed Won't Be Bluffed

Level 6 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After action folded all the way around, Waheed Ashraf opened to 27,000 on the button, with Sam Greenwood defending from the big blind. The two players took a {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, with both players checking, before Greenwood lead out for 90,000 on the {q-Spades} turn. Ashraf made the call, as they headed to the {9-Clubs} river.

Greenwood took a moment, before reaching for 90,000 again, and cascading it over the line. Ashraf gave it a little thought, although didn't take too long to make the call. Greenwood turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for ace high, with Ashraf's {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} good enough to take the pot down.

Felipe Falls Short

Fellipe Ramos
Fellipe Ramos

After the pot was opened with a middle position raise to 30,000, Felipe Ramos put in a three-bet to 80,000 on the button, before David von Schnehen made the four-bet from the small blind to 255,000. The original raiser quickly folded, with Ramos making another raise, five-betting to 480,000.

After a short dwell, Von Schnehen made the call and they went heads-up to a {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Von Schnehen checked the flop and quickly called Ramos' 255,000 continuation bet. The {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked.

Von Schnehen checked a third time on the {j-Clubs} river. Ramos went into the tank for what seemed like an eternity, counting out his stack several times, before finally sighing, taking off his headphones, and checking the river back. Von Schnehen immediately whipped over {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for the full house, Ramos showed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} before mucking.

Gardner Stays Alive

Level 5 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Behind two limpers, former professional footballer Anthony Gardner put in a raise to 60,000 from the hijack. The player on the button very quickly made a 3-bet to 160,000, folding everyone else out. Gardner shrugged and put the lot in for 280,000 and was called instantly.

Gardner was happy to find himself in a flip situation, with his {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} versus {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} didn't look good for Gardner, but the {a-Clubs} turn made things much better. The {3-Hearts} river was a brick, and Gardner picked up the full double.

Kings For Klicman

Level 5 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

We join the action on a {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} board, with around 350,000 in the middle, and Daniel Klicman leading out for 150,000.

After a short dwell, Klicman's opponent put in the call, before they went to a {2-Spades} river. Klicman thought for a moment before he, stoic as anything, reached for 250,000. This put his opponent to a bit of a decision, but Klicman eventually picked up the call he was looking for and tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Klicman dragged in the pot and found himself well over two million chips.
