End Of Day 2E

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Day 2E chipleader Adam Maxwell
Day 2E chipleader Adam Maxwell

Day 2E has now concluded, with 22 players securing their place in Day 3 tomorrow afternoon.

The overwhelming chipleader from this flight is the man who has been leading the way for quite some time now: Adam Maxwell. He's taking through a massive 12,695,000!

We will have the full chip count shortly.

Scanlan All-In

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Scanlon finds the fortunate double up
Scanlon finds the fortunate double up

Dillon Scanlan has been short for a while, and found his spot to shove from UTG+1 for 1,250,000. He managed to get it through one whole player, before Paul Allen called from the hijack. Russell Betts then went into the tank for a minute or so before finally relinquishing his cards. Action folded round and the cards were on their backs.

Scanlan shows {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, which was in awful shape versus Allen's {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

"Dillon is really good at these," Adam Maxwell reminds the table.

The {3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop seems like Maxwell might not be wrong with his assessment. The turn {5-Hearts} is safe enough for Allen, but the {q-Hearts} on the river spells disaster and Scanlan picks up the lucky double.

Adam Stacks Well

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Adam Maxwell raised under the gun to 260,000, with James Mitchell coming over the top for all of his 3,100,000 chips. Maxwell wasted no time at all in calling and whipped over his {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. Mitchell sheepishly revealed his {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and was in about as bad shape as possible.

The {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop offered him a little help, with the {j-Diamonds} turn bringing some chop outs. The {4-Hearts} bricked the river, though, and Mitchell exits the tournament area in 28th for £1,100. Meanwhile, Maxwell stacked up a tower of chips so big that it literally doubles the next biggest in play.

Cracked Kings

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Piotr Szymczak opened for 250,000 from mid position, with Richard Burke making the call next to act. Action folded round to Harvey Sellick in the small blind who ripped for 2,150,000. Szymczak looked at Burke's stack, back at his own, then back at Burke's.

"I call," announced Szymczak. Burke folded immediately and the cards were on their backs, Szymczak's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} way out in front of Sellick's {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

The dealer put a {3-Spades} in the window and Burke shot out of his seat, claiming that would have been him. Behind that were revealed the {a-Diamonds} and {j-Clubs} to suddenly give Sellick a resounding lead. The {7-Clubs} did nothing to change proceedings, and the {3-Clubs} on the river finished things off, Sellick picking up a massive double!
