After Ami Alibay just flat-called in position with pocket queens, Chris Moorman shoved all in on the button holding . When the action got back to Alibay, he made the call and held on for the win, leaving Moorman with around one big blind. Just a few hands later, Moorman would go on to be eliminated in eighth place. Although Alibay chipped up, he was still one of the shorter stacks at the table. Seven-handed play continued for nearly two hours before the next elimination would occur. It was Alibay who flopped a pair but when Eldridge rivered a set, Alibay was left with under five big blinds. He would go on to be eliminated just two hands later leaving six players remaining.
