Pekarek's Lead Trimmed

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jeremy Pekarek opened to 35,000 and Daniel Rezaei called. Pekarek check-called 35,000 on the {4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop and a further 153,000 from Rezaei on the {2-Spades} turn.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Pekarek checked once again. Rezaei moved all in for 428,000 and Pekarek went into the tank, flicking out a time extension.

"Guess you could have eights full?" he said. "God, I want to bust you so bad. So fucking bad..."

Eventually, he folded, with Rezaei mucking his cards.

"You would show if you bluffed me," said Pekarek, who headed away from the tournament area on a short walk.

Grafton's Kicker Barely Plays

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sam Grafton raised it up from the button and Samuel Vousden defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Vousden check-called a bet of 27,000 from Grafton.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Vousden checked again. Grafton tossed in another bet of 125,000 and Vousden called to see the {7-Hearts} on the river. Both players knuckled the table and Vousden turned over {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Grafton held {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and his eight-kicker was just enough to earn him the entire pot.

Held Receives Orbit Penalty

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tournament staff have given out a one round penalty to Justus Held, which was the reason as to why the tournament clock was paused.

According to Fahredin Mustafov, after Held's original table was broken, Held arrived at his new table and pulled his entire chip stack out of his pocket.

The floor was called and after consultation with the table, and clarification of his stack, he received a one round penalty.

"What is This Flop?"

Level 20 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Jeremy Pekarek was back in the action involved in another big pot with Daniel Rezaei this time. A completed board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} was spread across the felt and Pekarek had a bet of 225,000 sitting in front of him. Rezaei made the call and Pekarek whipped over {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for a straight.

"What is this flop?" Fahredin Mustafov burst into laughter as he keeled over.

"I told you I was going to flop one time," Pekarek pointed out. "I just want to play small pots. You want to play big pots?"

The pot was sent toward Pekarek and he was the first player to climb over 3 million chips thus far.

Kempe Sends Kuo to the Rail

Level 20 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

Just after taking a bite of his food, Rainer Kempe opened to 30,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Kitty Kuo in the big blind. She turned her rags face up before ditching them to muck. "Just focus on your food," Kuo said with a smile.

In the very next hand, the action folded to Kuo in the small blind who shipped all in for 150,000. Kempe stopped eating once again to look at his hand and he made the call.

Rainer Kempe: {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Kitty Kuo: {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

"Chop?" Kuo asked knowing she was in a bad position. The board ran out {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Kempe's queen-ten kicker played. Kuo was eliminated and headed for the payout desk.

Jaka Eliminated; Pekarek Leads Once More

Level 20 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Faraz Jaka moved all in from the button for 177,000. Jeremy Pekarek was in the small blind and called.

Faraz Jaka: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Jeremy Pekarek: {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
