Koral Making Waves

We missed the action that led to the all in, but we walked up to see an unknown player pushing his final 100,000 chips into the pot before he flop. Tom Koral instantly called with {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}, and his opponent sheepishly showed up {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs}.

The board ran out {J-Spades} {9-Spades} {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}, and that was safe and sound for Koral. After notching that knockout, he's all the way up to 460,000.

Party Time

Despite being stuck in the confines of the Imperial Ballroom from sunup to sundown, it's not all work here at the PCA. The night before the Main Event kicked off, PokerStars hosted a grand welcome party for the players. Gloria Balding had a VIP pass and her trusty microphone, and she was able to shoot the breeze with a few players over the course of the evening. Check it out:

Baking a Tasty Stack o' Chips

Amanda Baker
Amanda Baker
From the button, Jens Kyllönen raised to 11,500. Amanda Baker was in the small blind and made the call. Robert Mizrachi was in the big blind and reraised to 51,000. Kyllönen took a minute and then folded. Baker took a minute as well, but she wasn't going to fold. Baker checked the stack of Mizrachi, who had about 275,000 left, and then she announced that she was all in. Mizrachi mucked his hand and Baker raked in the chips.

Kyllönen dropped to 360,000 after folding preflop, Mizrachi's on the aforementioned 275,000 and Baker is cruising with 640,000.

Bentley with Pressure On Feldman

From early position, Wayne Bentley raised to 15,000. The cutoff seat called before Peter Feldman called on the button. Amanda Baker was in the big blind and called as well.

The flop came down {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and Baker checked. Bentley fired 50,000 and only Feldman came along for the ride down fourth street.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and right away Bentley moved all in. Feldman had 174,500 left and tanked for a few minutes. Eventually, he mucked his hand allowing Bentley to scoop the pot. Bentley's up to 560,000 now.

Levi Rebuilding

On a turned board showing {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs}, Nicolas Levi got his final 62,500 chips into the pot. He was called down by an opponent with {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}, and Levi was one card away from a double up with {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}.

The river was a safe {4-Clubs}, and that secures a much-needed double for the fedora-donning Frenchman. He's back up to 180,000 after a very shaky start to his day.

Ramdin Eliminated

Victor Ramdin - Out
Victor Ramdin - Out
Under the gun, Victor Ramdin stuck his final 16,000 puny chips into the pot. The table folded all the way around to the big blind who called dark, and the cards were on their backs. Ramdin showed up {A-?} {5-?}, and he was ahead of the big blind's {Q-?} {2-?}.

The board frowned on the jovial Team PokerStars Pro, though. It ran down {Q-?} {10-?} {8-?} {Q-?} {10-?}. Ramdin can't beat a full house, and he wished his table luck as he headed toward the payout desk.

The board ran out {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {3-Spades} {K-Diamonds} to eliminate Lawson. Suied moved up to 655,000 chips.
