Kyllönen Gets the Better of Bentley

Jens Kyllönen checked the flop of {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} to Wayne Bentley. Bentley fired 20,000 and Kyllönen called.

The turn card was the {Q-Spades} and Kyllönen checked. Bentley fired 30,000 and Kyllönen called again.

The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs} and Kyllönen checked again. Bentley fired 50,000 this time. Kyllönen tanked for about a minute and then announced that he was all in. The all-in bet was for 184,700. Bentley immediately stood from his chair and began pacing back and forth for a few minutes. Finally, he sat back down and mucked his hand, mumbling complaints under his breath.

Kyllönen is up to 240,000 while Bentley slipped to 650,000.

Aguiar Doubles

Jon Aguiar
Jon Aguiar
A player in the cutoff seat opened the pot to 10,500, and action passed to the big blind. In that spot, Jon Aguiar three-bet it up to 44,000, and the original raiser went into the tank. After a couple minutes, he stuck out a big covering tower of blue chips, and Aguiar made the call all in for his full stack of 147,500.

Showdown
Aguiar: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

The board ran safe for the all-in Aguiar as it came {7-Clubs} {4-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. He's all the way up to 300,600 just as the first break hits.

How Ivey Got His Chips

He's single, ladies...
He's single, ladies...
OK, so we've got some word on what went down at Phil Ivey's table that allowed him to get so many chips.

According to one of the other players at the table, Ivey opened and Praz Bansi three-bet. Ivey made the call and the two saw a flop of {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. After a series of bets and raises, all of the money got in with Ivey holding a set of sevens. Bansi held bottom pair and a flush draw with the {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. Ivey's hand held up and he was able to double through Bansi.

Ambrose Smacks a Flush

On a flop of {9-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}, Steve Paul-Ambrose fired 12,500 before his opponent raised to 30,000. Ambrose reraised to put the player all in and was met with a quick call.

Ambrose held {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and would be looking for a straight or runner clubs against his opponent top set of nines.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and then the river the {7-Clubs}. Ambrose hit a flush and eliminated the opponent, shooting up to 278,000.

Ivey Ballin' Out

Phil Ivey's chip stack is looking a lot bigger nowadays. Checking back in on his table, Praz Bansi has been moved there and David Baker, who was seated to Ivey's left, is out. Bansi started the day with nearly one million chips, but is now down to 670,000. Ivey has exploded way up to 725,000.

Bansi and Ivey have been playing a few hands together and this looks to be the calm before the storm before the two clash in a huge pot.

Lacay Leapfrogging

Ludo
Ludo
Ludovic Lacay is doing work. Down to just 20,000 lonely chips, Lacay moved in with {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} preflop. Nicolas Levi looked him up with {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs}, and a board running {Q-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {4-Clubs} held Ludovic's pair and doubled him up to 43,600.

On the following hand, Lacay moved in again, this time pushing 43,200 into the middle from the cutoff seat. Levi was the caller again, coming along from the big blind with {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. Lacay was behind but drawing live with {J-Spades} {8-Spades}. Salvation would come for the Frenchman though, as the dealer spread a board of {8-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {6-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}.

After being down to just 1,500 chips a few minutes ago, Lacay is all the way back up to 92,000! Table mate Huck Seed knows what's going on here: "Looks like you'll be the chip leader in about 17 minutes."
