William Reynolds

Two lost hands in a row against 2010 PCA High Roller Champion William Reynolds ended 2009 PCA High Roller Champion Bertrand Grospellier's day.

The {5-Diamonds} followed on fifth street and Grospellier check-called 8,600 from Reynolds, mucking when Reynolds showed {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Shortly thereafter, Grospellier got it in for about 23,000 with {A-}{Q-} against Reynolds' {A-}{K-}. No help came for Grospellier and his tournament is over. Reynolds, on the other hand, is up to about 92,000.

Lodden's Two Pair No Good

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

From middle position, a player raised to 1,500. Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden made the call on the button and Steven Levy called from the big blind. The three players saw the flop come down {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} and Levy led with a bet of 2,600. Both the preflop raiser and Lodden made the call.

Fourth street was the {7-Hearts} and paired the board. Levy checked and so did the player in middle position. Lodden bet out 8,000 and that prompted a fold from Levy. The other player made the call.

The {9-Hearts} fell on the river and both players checked to go to showdown. Lodden tabled the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, but was beat by his opponent's {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and dropped back to 26,100 in chips.

Molson Bests Koon Just Before Break

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Just as the players were all heading on the break this hand went down.

Ravi Raghavan raised to 1,500 from the button and Jason Koon three-bet to 4,300 from the small blind. Will Molson, who finished in second place in this event last year, reraised to 8,600. Raghavan folded, but Koon made the call.

The two players took a heads-up flop of {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and both checked. The {8-Hearts} was added to the board on the turn and both players checked again to see the {Q-Clubs} fall on the river. Both checked again.

Molson tabled the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} to beat Koon's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and improve to 60,000 in chips. Koon slipped back to 33,000.
