Shatilov Doubles Through Wong

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Andrey Shatilov held {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and opened the betting with a raise to 160,000 from the hijack. Jerry Wong held {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and three-bet to 375,000 from the button and it folded back to Shatilov. He called and the flop brought {2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

Shatilov checked and Wong slid out a continuation bet of 410,000. Shatilov flat called to see the turn and the {10-Hearts} hit the turn making Shatilov's gutshot straight. Shatilov checked and Wong moved him all in. Shatilov snap called off his last 2.385 million with the straight and was in an excellent position to double up.

The river bricked out for Wong with the {2-Diamonds} and Shatilov was able to double up. Wong, who came into the final table as the chip leader, has now fallen to the second shortest stack.
