Kornuth Busts Kihara and Boutin

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Naoya Kihara
Naoya Kihara

On the first hand back from the break, Louis Boutin moved all in for 85,000 from the hijack and Naoya Kihara reshoved for 201,000 from the small blind. Chance Kornuth was next to act in the big blind and he peeked down at his cards. Snap call.

Boutin: {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Kihara: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Kornuth: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

Kornuth had a stranglehold on the hand with the other two players at risk of elimination, and the {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board secured the double for Kornuth. He's now sitting behind a massive stack of 1,750,000

Playing the Board No Good For Lockhart

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We got to the table with a bet of 50,000 in front of Carlos Chadha on a board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and he was facing a raise to 125,000 from Christopher Lockhart. Chadha would spend several minutes before deciding to make the call while saying "alright, show me the jack of diamonds."

"Playing the board," replied Lockhart who turned over {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Chadha had the board beat, however, with his {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. "Sorry I took so long," he apologized, happy though to have taken down the pot.

Schwartz Sends Buddiga a Five-Bet

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Pratyush Buddiga opened for a raise in the cutoff and saw Noah Schwartz make it 59,000 on the button. Buddiga made it 125,000 to go, but Schwartz bumped it up still further to 225,000. Buddiga shoved all in, and Schwartz tanked for a couple of minutes before making what looked to be a painful fold.

Juan Etcheverry
Juan Etcheverry

We didn't catch the pre-flop action but Ambrose Ng got the rest of his 406,000 chips in and was at risk against Juan Etcheverry. Ng was in great shape for the double up holding {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} against Etcheverry's {J-}{J-} and would score the huge double up when the board ran out {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.
