Pastor Doubles Through Kornuth

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Chance Kornuth called flop and turn bets from Juan Martin Pastor in a three-bet pot as the board came out {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Pastor shoved all in on the {9-Hearts} river. It was about 600,000 to call, and Kornuth said he likely couldn't fold. In the end, he did make the call with {6-}{6-} for a set, but Pastor had the nuts with {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Noah Schwartz - 22nd Place

Noah Schwartz shoved all in for his last 142,000 with {q-}{q-} and was called by Jim Collopy, who held {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

"Good luck boys," a disappointed Schwartz said after the {2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop left him nearly dead. The {2-Hearts} turn ended things.

Hawkins Sliding

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins raised to 48,000 from the cutoff and Pratyush Buddiga called from the big blind.

They checked to the turn of a board reading {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} when Buddiga check-called 60,000 from Hawkins to see the {10-Diamonds} river, where both checked again.

Buddiga tabled {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, Hawkins mucked and Buddiga collected the pot.

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened for a raise in the cutoff and then called the shove of Felipe Ramos, who had 201,000 on the button.

Ramos: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Kornuth: {k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

"I got pretty unlucky I was dominated here," Kornuth said with a laugh, adding that he should have seven-three suited.

The board came {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, giving Ramos the double.

Good Cards Will Prevail (Eventually)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins opened pre-flop for a raise and found one taker out of the blinds in Diego Ventura. The flop came {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Ventura would check-call a small Hawkins bet.

The turn ws the {3-Clubs} and both players checked leading to Ventura betting out 120,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river. Hawkins asked how much the bet was and then made it 200,000 more to go leaving himself with just 55,000 behind.

"Is that all in?" asked Ventura. The dealer told him that it was not.

Ventura folded and Hawkins told him "can't keep getting lucky on me. Good cards will prevail eventually."

Schulz Calls Down Mattar

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Kevin Schulz opened to 55,000 under the gun and was called by only Eugenio Mattar in the cutoff. Schulz continued for 65,000 on the {6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, but Mattar wanted to bump it up just a tad for a min-raise. Schulz called, and he check-called bets of the same amount on the {6-Hearts} turn and {j-Spades} river.

Mattar snap-shipped his cards to the muck, and Schulz took the pot down with no showdown.

Good Cards Don't Prevail

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Ambrose Ng moved all in for 304,000 total from early position and Maurice Hawkins called out of the small blind. Hawkins was in great shape to deliver the knockout with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} as Ng held {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to keep Hawkins in the lead. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and someone watching the hand behind Hawkins said "it's over."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop," said Hawkins. "Don't you ever say that."

It was as if Hawkins knew the impossible was possible. The river... was the {10-Hearts} to give Ng the straight.

"F***!" yelled Hawkins, storming off, yelling "don't ever say that! S***!"

Ng doubled up to 650,000 and a visibly frustrated Hawkins came back to the table with 182,000. "Good game boys," he sighed.

Dylan Linde opened to 51,000 from early position, Maurice Hawkins called from the cutoff and Ambrose Ng three-bet shoved from the big blind for 627,000. Linde tanked for a good three minutes before he called for most of his stack and Hawkins called all in for 117,000 total.

Linde: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Hawkins: {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Ng: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, giving Hawkins queens and tens to win the main pot to triple up, while Linde won the side pot with a pair of queens to eliminate Ng in 19th place.
