Kanit Sends Vullieumier Home with Full House

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joining the action on the river with around 75,000 in the pot. Alexandre Vuilleumier was under the gun against Mustapha Kanit in the hijack.

The board read {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Kanit bet 36,000 when checked to by Vuilleumier, who then jammed all in for around 140,000. Kanit went deep into the tank before making the call. Vuilleumier showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for two pair while Kanit turned over {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a full house to eliminate Vuilleumier from the tournament.

Kanit apologized to his tablemates for taking so long. Dean Murphy responded, "That's eight minutes I'm never getting back."

Marques Can't Get a River Call from Maue

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Andre Filipe Moreira Marques
Andre Filipe Moreira Marques

Leonard Maue opened to 4,000 under the gun and action folded to Andre Marques in the cutoff, who three-bet to 13,000. The rest of the players got out of the way and Maue made the call.

The flop came out {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Maue checked to Marques who continued for 8,000. Maue made the call and they went to the {7-Spades} turn.

This time Maue led out for 12,000 and Marques made the call after a few moments of thought.

The river came the {2-Spades} and Maue decided to check to Marques, who announced a pot-sized bet of 71,000, but before he could even get the chips out, Maue mucked his hand.

Marques smiled and shook his head as he flashed {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for a turned straight flush.

"Ahhh," he sighed, "I thought that was a good river card." This win brought him back up into the chip lead with close to 500,000.

Tulin Chips Up With Aggression

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Following a button raise by Andras Nemeth, Nikolai Tulin came along from the big blind. On a {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, Tulin checked and subsequently check-raised from 4,000 to 13,000 as Nemeth stuck around.

Tulin bet the {j-Spades} turn for 20,000 and the {8-Diamonds} river for 67,000 thereafter. Nemeth called the first bet and reluctantly folded to the final bet.

Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Scott Bohlman and Franck Makaci invested 22,000 each on the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades} turn before the former checked the {7-Clubs} on the river. Makaci tanked for a minute and then sighed as he checked it back.

Bohlman tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the top pair and that won the pot. "Sometimes I win, today is one of those days," Bohlman remarked.

Mikolaitis Cannot Fool Thorel; Busts With a Move

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jean Noel Thorel
Jean Noel Thorel

The hero not long ago, Dominykas Mikolaitis was aiming to chip up further and overbet-jammed a heads-up river of {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for 79,500. Jean-Noel Thorel had checked to him with some 55,000 in the middle and the French businessman called within five seconds.

Mikolaitis flipped over the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} but it was no good, as Thorel had that beat with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the top pair.

Chen No More After Clash With Rose

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On the former feature table, Pete Chen was all in with a very short stack and up against James Harvey.

Pete Chen: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
James Harvey: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The kicker problem was never solved on the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} runout and that spelled the end for Chen.
