Day 1 Completed
It was a solid day of action in the $600 NLHE, and as usual it will take a little more than a single day to finish it out. Action got underway at 2 p.m. and more than 130 players were in their seats for the start of the day. With five levels of late registration, the number grew to nearly 200 entries, as the gates came down with 195 entries recorded.
That meant there was more than $100,000 in the prize pool and more than $28,000 up top for first. There were quite a few notable players who took a stab at the prizes but fell short including Kyle Hartree, Eric Wasylenko, Jiwan Emre, Leor Wasserman, Patrick "Super" Serda, and James Boyd among others.
Several notables also made it as far as a cashing spot. Once the bubble burst, James Boyd was the first player out with cash, collecting $1,367 for 20th place. Among the other notables to pull some cash out of day 1 were Ron Lauzon in 13th for $1,805 and Khai Nguyen in 11th for $2,152.
