The Unsinkable Rainer Quel

Can anyone knock this man out?

On sixth street, Quel tossed in his case 13,000 and Billy "The Croc" Argyros called.

Quel (Q-2) 3-4-7-9
Argyros (5-T) A-3-7-Q

Quel had a made 9 low, while Billy the Croc needed a 2,4,6, or 8 to improve. Taylor, Harvey and Quel all gathered behind Billy the Croc to sweat his final card.

It was... a nine. And Quel survived again. He has 90,000 in chips.

The Croc is Hungry

Not a single hand in this round of Razz has gone past fourth street and our final table has now entered it's sixth hour.

"Come on, boys! I want to go to dinner!" said a hungry Billy the Croc, hoping to induce at least a little action.

Updated Chip Counts

Billy the Croc has been chomping away at his opponents' stacks over the last two levels and has taken the chip lead:

Billy 'the Croc' Argyros 169,000
Paul Taylor 87,000
Martin Harvey 65,000
Rainer Quel 50,000

Rainer Quel Survives Again

Rainer Quel raised all in for 16,000 UTG, Martin Harvey called from the smal lblind and Paul Taylor called from the big blind. Both Harvey and Taylor checked the {J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades} board all the way down.

Quel {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Harvey {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Taylor {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Quel took the high pot with his set of threes and split the low with Harvey, increasing his stack to 36,000.

Clock Called on Croc

"Do you want me to call?" asked Billy the Croc
"Do you want me to call?" asked Billy the Croc
Billy "the Croc" Argyros raised from the button and Paul Taylor called from the big blind. The flop was {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Taylor checked, the Croc bet and Taylor called. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Spades}. Taylor bet and the Croc tanked for nearly five minutes before having the clock called on him. In his last minute to think, the Croc started jawing at Taylor.

"Do you want me to call?" he kept asking. Taylor remained stoic, his black Poker News cap pulled over his eyes. The Croc attempted to peek underneath it to get a better read, getting a chuckle from Taylor.

As the floor counted down his last five seconds to act, the Croc tossed in the 16,000 call. Taylor turned up {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for fourth pair and the Croc mucked.

"I don't know how you bet that on the river" he muttered as Taylor stacked his chips.

The Right Hand at the Right Time

Rainer Quel raised from UTG, Martin Harvey three-bet from the small blind and Quel called. The flop was {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Harvey bet, Quel raised, Harvey three-bet all in and Quel called. Harvey tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} while Quel turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The turn was the {9-Spades}, the river was the {4-Hearts}, and Harvey survived his all in. He's currently sitting on 92,000 in chips.
