Rainer Quel Doubles Through Billy the Croc

Rainer Quel and Billy the Croc got into a third street raising war, Quel ending up all in for his remaining 22,000.

Quel (6-4) 8-5-6-9 (3)
Argyros (5-7) 3-J-Q-A- (T)

Quel's 8-6 low was good against the Croc's T-7, and he doubled to 48,000 on the hand.

Paul Taylor Cripples Rainer Quel

Razz... it's a brutal game.

Taylor (x-x) K-A-6-4
Quel (x-x) 5-T-2-A

Despite having a king up, Paul Taylor brought it in for a completion and Rainer Quel called with a 5 up. On fourth and fifth streets Taylor led out and Quel called. On sixth, both players checked. On seventh street Taylor checked, Quel bet and Taylor called.

Taylor turned up 2-8-7 in the hole for 7-6-4-2-A as Quel disgustedly mucked his hand. Taylor was up to 115,000 while Quel was left with only 27,000.

Quel, Taylor=Croc Bait?

Billy the Croc just took down two consecutive Omaha hands to send his stack up to 97,500 (he finally decided to clean up his chip-lake).

In the first hand, Paul Taylor raised and the Croc called. The flop was {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Taylor bet, the Croc raised and Taylor called. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {A-Hearts}. The Croc bet out and Taylor reluctantly made the call.

Billy the Croc showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a flush and Taylor mucked. The chip-lake nearly doubled in size on that one.

On the second hand, Rainer Quel limped in on the button, Billy the Croc raised from the small blind and Quel called. The flop was {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}. The Croc bet and Quel called. The turn was the {2-Diamonds}. The Croc led out again and Quel called. The river was the {Q-Hearts}. The Croc fired a third time and Quel folded. The Croc showed two of his four cards, the {Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a full house and scooped the pot.

Billy the Croc is now second in chips and a contender for this title.

"2-4-6-8 Who do You Appreciate?"

Rainer Quel raised from the small blind and Billy "The Croc" Argyros called from the big blind. The flop was {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Quel bet out, the Croc said "I'm going to have to raise you, one time," and Quel called. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Quel checked.

"Oh my God I've got queens up now. I have to bet. 2-4-6-8 who do you appreciate" he babbled as he dribbled out 8,000 in chips.

"Hi Mum! Hi Dad!" waved the Croc to the cameras as Quel sat in the tank, finally calling the Croc's bet.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Quel checked, the Croc bet his last 1,000 chip and Quel called.

Quel turned up {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, but the Croc showed {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} (clearly NOT queens up) and scooped the pot. We'd give you a chip count on the Croc, but his stack is currently sitting in a sort of chip-lake in front of his collection of plastic croc card cappers.

"Cocktails, Table 7!" bellowed the Croc as he polished off another drink.
