Nguyen Drags One Back

Fresh off handing William Skountzos 16,000 chips, Bruce Nguyen has earned those chips back with a little interest.

Nguyen opened from under the gun to 5,500 and got calls from Nick Haidaris in middle position, George Dionisopoulos from the cutoff and William Skountzos from the big blind.

The players all checked off the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop and proceeded to the {9-Diamonds} turn. On the turn Nguyen had enough of the friendly play and bet out 10,500. All of his opponents folded leaving him to pot.

Clock Called On Koivurinne; Nguyen Wins

Preflop, Riku Koivurinne opened to 5,000 from middle position and Bruce Nguyen called from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts} with Nguyen check-calling a 7,000-chip bet from Koivurinne.

They repeated the same process on the turn {5-Clubs} except that it was a 14,000-chip bet from Koivurinne.

On the river {8-Spades} Nguyen bet out 26,000 and that sent Koivurinne into the tank for the best part of five minutes. In the end Ben Savage called the clock, and Koivurinne let his time run down before making the call.

It was a bad decision, he instantly mucked upon seeing Nguyen's {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} two pair.

Nguyen moves over 200,000 in chips. Koivurinne is down to 40,000.

Nguyen Grabs One With Fours

William Skountzos opened from the hijack to 3,200 with Bruce Nguyen flat calling from the cutoff. Ben Savage got out of the way and Nick Haidaris made it 9,000 to go from the small blind.

The big blind folded and action was back on Skountzos who thought it prudent to let his hand go. Nguyen made the call and they went heads up to the {6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop.

The flop saw Haidaris lead 12,000 which Nguyen flat called. The turn {2-Clubs} fell off and both players checked. They also decided it was best to check the river {7-Clubs}.

Haidaris was first to table his cards and rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for ace-high, while Nguyen found his {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to be good.

Riku Koivurinne Joins The Action

Riku Koivurinne has been pretty quiet in the early going but popped up to win a pot recently.

Preflop Koivurinne opened to 4,000 with Angelo Prifti calling from the hijack and Ben Savage calling with the discount from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} checking it and also checking the {j-Diamonds} turn. On the river {5-Clubs} Savage once again checked to Koivurinne who led 7,500. Prifti folded, but Savage made the call.

Upon seeing Koivurinne table {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a straight, Savage mucked.
