Blind Cooler For Bruce Nguyen

William Skountzos is the new chipleader
William Skountzos is the new chipleader
In a battle of the blinds William Skountzos raised to 6,000 from the small blind and Bruce Nguyen popped it up to 16,000 from the big blind. Skountzos responded by shoving all in and Nguyen paused for a quick moment before making the call.

His {A-Clubs}{q-Clubs} was definitely going to need some help against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Skountzos though.

It didn't arrive, the flop came {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the river was the {8-Clubs} to make Skountzos a boat that would sail him into the chip lead.

After the hand Skountzos moved to 300,000. Bruce Nguyen has slid all the way down to just 90,000. He'll be hoping to get off the slide very soon.

Dionisopoulos: {A-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Nguyen: {A-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Dionisopoulos moves up to around 45,000. Nguyen drops back down under 200,000 chips.

Bruce Nguyen has been active in putting the pressure on the shorter stacks. However it backfired against Nick Haidaris in a recent hand.

Nguyen opened under the gun to 8,000 with Haidaris moving all in over the top for another 22,500. It folded back to Nguyen who made the call and the players tabled their cards.

Haidaris: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Nguyen: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades} to safely double Haidaris through to 50,000.

William Skountzos Proving Tough

Skountzos is certainly holding his own
Skountzos is certainly holding his own
Nick Haidaris opened from under the gun to 5,500 with Andrew Jeffreys calling from the button. William Skountzos popped it up to 12,000 from the small blind. Nguyen folded the big blind and Haidaris and Jeffreys both made the call to go to the flop.

The flop came {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Skountzos immediately fired out 25,000 chips. Haidaris folded away, and action was on Andrew Jeffreys who thought a moment.

"You have Ace-King," quizzed Jeffreys.

"No," was the prompt response from Skountzos.

"Alright," sighed Jeffreys as he tossed his cards into the muck.
