Welcome to the second and final day of the €2,200 PokerStars Festival Bucharest High Roller Re-entry. At 2 p.m. local time, cards will be in the air for what's sure is going to be a long day, as a field of at least 57 players will be whittled down to one champion.
Late registration is open up until the start of Day 2, and it's expected that several players will jump in at the last possible time to take a shot at the already substantial prize pool. These ultra-late registrants will receive a fresh stack of 25 big blinds to work with.
Leading the way is Georges Yazbeck from Lebanon with 130,800 in chips. The 52-year old dentist is a fixture on the European circuit, and has been racking up cashes all over the globe since 2008. His biggest cash to date came during EPT5 Monte Carlo, where he conquered a €2,000 side event and walked away €201,000 richer.
Notable players who made it through to Day 2 included Niko Koop (60,500), Marc Radgen (54,600), Alexandru Papazian (45,000), Mihai Manole (37,300), Daniel Portiansky (19,400), Andreas Klatt (17,900), Miroslav Forman (15,200), and Pasquale Grimaldi (14,900).
Levels will be 40-minutes for the remainder of the tournament, and a winner will not be expected before midnight. The blinds will start at 500/1,000 with a running ante of 100. The total prize pool and payouts will be announced shortly after the start of the day, when late registration has closed.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish to provide updates from the JW Marriot Grand Hotel in Bucharest, so make sure to check back regularly to find out who will be the next PokerStars Festival High Roller champion. The €2,200 High Roller will be running side-by-side with the Main Event, which starts at 1 p.m. today. For coverage of the Main Event, click here.

Romania's first bracelet winner and all-time money leader Alexandru Papazian has slipped a bit at the start of the day and was down to 20 big blinds. He open-shoved those from the cutoff and picked up the blinds and antes in the process.

After Shalev Halfa opened with a raise to 2,200, Uri Gilboa shoved for 15,000. Back on Halfa, the Israeli immediately called to put his countryman at risk.
Shalev Halfa:
Uri Gilboa:
No help for Gilboa on and he came up short on his second bullet as well.

Alexandru Papazian hasn't been able to come back from his early slump and was found on the rail.
"I bluffed it off," he laughed when PokerNews asked him about the details.
According to Papazian, he limped in with from the hijack with a stack of 26,000, and Hans Wenzelburger completed from the small blind. On an flop with two spades, Papazian bet 2,000 with Wenzelburger as the only caller. Papazian bet 6,000 on the turn and went all in on the river.
Wenzelburger called both times with to knock out the EPT12 Monte Carlo €25,000 High Roller winner.
