Day 1c of PokerStars Festival Korea Main Event Begins at 11 a.m. Local Time
The first two starting flights of the PokerStars Festival Korea Main Event are already in the books, but there are still two more to come, and the next one, Day 1c, begins at 11:00 a.m. local time at Paradise City Hotel & Resort in Incheon. Days 1a and 1b drew a combined total of 120 entries, 36 of which bagged chips at the conclusion of play.
There are several familiar faces among those who have advanced so far, including Sparrow Cheung, who bagged the Day 1a chip lead with 201,000, as well as Pete Chen, Alan Lau, Takashi Ogura, Daniel Demicki, and current overall chip leader Yuki Ko, who will take 226,300 out of the bag when Day 2 play begins on Sunday.
Play on Day 1c is scheduled to closely mirror that of the first two flights: the field will play 12 levels of 45 minutes each and every player will begin with 30,000 chips in exchange for their ₩1,650,000 buy-in, which is approximately equivalent to $1,470. One entry per player is permitted in each flight. There will be a 10-minute break every three levels and late registration will remain open until the end of level 9. There is currently no scheduled dinner break.
