Shi Shows The Goods

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 0 ante

The player under-the-gun raised to 300 and was called by Jie Shi in the cutoff, the player on the button and both blinds.

The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and it was checked to the preflop raiser who continued for 1,200. Shi and the small blind called.

It was checked to Shi when the {8-Diamonds} fell on the turn and he bet 5,100. Only his opponent in the small blind called.

The {4-Clubs} completed the board and it was checked to Shi once more. He bet 5,700 and his opponent called.

Shi tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for jacks-full and his opponent mucked.

Robinson Makes a Wheel

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 0 ante
Arundel Robinson
Arundel Robinson

Arundel Robinson limped under-the-gun and the player on the button raised to 300. Both blinds called and Robinson called as well.

Action checked to the Robinson on the {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and he led out for 500. The player on the button then raised to 2,000 and it was folded back to Robinson, who called.

The {3-Diamonds} came on the turn and Robinson led out again — this time for 4,500. His opponent called.

Both players decided to check the river and the player on the button said "Straight's good," prompting Robinson to table {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} for, indeed, a straight. Robinson's opponent mucked upon seeing this — awarding the pot to Robinson.
