The final flight of Run It Up Reno VIII's Main Event kicks off today!
Yesterday's Day 1a flight saw 267 entrants hit the felt, and only 53 of them managed to find a Day 2 bag, led by Patrick Truong and his impressive stack of 471,000, almost 200,000 more chips than Ricky "ratedGTO" Guan's second place stack of 275,500.
Others notables that were able to make it to Day 2 were Johnnie “JohnnieVibes” Moreno (227,500), Kevin Gerhart (221,000), Dan O’Brian (141,000), Andrew Neeme (117,000), 2003 WSOP champ Chris Moneymaker (109,500), LFG co-host Jamie Kerstetter (107,000), Katie Lindsay (103,500), former champ DJ Fenton (82,000), and WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Laplante (46,500).
Expected to fire in today's Day 1b flight include Run It Up host Jason Somerville, Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg, Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand, GPI People's Choice Award winner Brad Owen, Joe "Stapes" Stapleton, six-time Run It Up Reno champ Jimmy Cappucci, Twitch streamer and former Big Brother Canada champ Kevin Martin, $1,100 Thursday Thrilla champ Adin Cota, and traveling dealer Nate Patten.
The tournament is played with a big blind ante, 40-minute levels, and a 25,000-starting stack. Registration and re-entries will be open through the end of play, which due to yesterday's Day 1a flight ending with 26:32 left in Level 12, will be at the same time for today's flight. When heads-up play is reached levels will change to 20 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels with a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9.

See you in October!
Three players invested 1,400 to see a flop together, and Austin Roberts checked from the small blind. Joshua Snyder bet 2,500 from the big blind, and after the hijack folded, Roberts made the call.
Both players quickly checked the turn, and the peeled off on the river. Roberts tossed in a bet of 5,200, and Snyder didn't take long to toss in a call.
Roberts rolled over for a rivered two pair, and Snyder shook his head and turned his up before tossing it in the muck.

Lagodich checked an flop over to the hijack, who continued for 600. The button and Lagodich both called.
The hit the turn, and action checked over to the button, who bet 1,300. Only Lagodich called.
Both players checked the river, and Lagodich turned over . His opponent rolled over , then looked at the board and said, "Kicker plays," before mucking his hand.
