Kyle Takes The Chip Lead

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After the cutoff and the button called, Eric Kyle raised to 10,000 in the small blind which both players called.

The flop came out {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Kyle checked to the cutoff who moved all in for 45,000. The button moved all in for less and Kyle called having both of them covered.

Button: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Cutoff: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Eric Kyle: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

The turn rolled out the {a-Diamonds}, leaving the cutoff dead and the button drawing to a gutshot. The river {2-Hearts} was a blank and Kyle scooped a large pot while knocking out two players.

Kaleb Dunn
Kaleb Dunn

Action was picked up on the turn between Joseph Gatlin in the small blind and Kaleb Dunn in the hijack with 31,000 in the center already.

On a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Gatlin moved all in for 43,000 effective and after some time Dunn called to put himself at risk.

Kaleb Dunn: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Joseph Gatlin: {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The river {q-Clubs} did not improve Dunn's flush draw and Gatlin's straight held up to eliminate last winter's third place finisher.

Banwo Ascending

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Olufemi Banwo
Olufemi Banwo

Action was picked up on the flop between Ofemi Banwo in first position and a player in the big blind.

The flop of {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} saw the big blind bet 20,000 and Banwo called.

The turn of {k-Spades} checked through to the river {4-Spades} that saw the big blind bet once more and Banwo called immediately.

"That's not good," the big blind said, sheepishly turning over {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a missed straight draw. Banwo turned over {q-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush and his stack rose to one of the biggest in the tournament.
