The Rungood Poker Series has made its second trip to The Atlantis Casino in Reno, Nevada. A total of nine events are to be played this week, with the biggest event being the $600 Main Event, boasting a guarantee of $150,000.
Last year saw local realtor Stacey Berger win the title for her very first RGPS title and a career best score of $39,655. The final table included such California/Nevada regulars like Paul Sampson and Pat “world famous” Lyons.

This week has seen quite the interesting cavalcade of poker players come in and out. RGPS champions like Daniel Hughes and all-time money leader Tyler Patterson have made some final tables this week in the hopes of etching their names deeper into RGPS lore. Game of Gold star Kyna England also has been playing this week along with Levi Klump, Paul Sampson, and Tyson Apostol. Players like Bob Mather, Lexi Mather, Michael Loncar, and Lindsey Kludt are all expected to make appearances this weekend.
Players will begin with 30,000 in chips with blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. The levels will last 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break at the conclusion of every four levels. Registration will close at the beginning of level 9, with play continuing until the field has reached 12.5% rounded down. This flight has unlimited re-entry and those who do not find a bag this flight will have ample opportunity into today’s second flight and tomorrow’s two flights.

Action was picked up in a pot between four players on the flop with Rudy Wusstig on the button, Jaqcui Newman in the big blind, Gregory Naaden in the hijack and defending champion Stacey Berger in the cutoff.
The flop rolled off 10♣Q♥3♠ and the pot contained 1,200. Action checked around to Wusstig who bet 1,200 which Newman and Berger called.
The turn of 3♥ saw action check to Wusstig again who sized down to 1,200 which only Berger called. The river Q♦ saw both players check.
"I missed," said Berger who turned over K♦J♥ for a missed straight draw, Wusstig turned over K♥10♥ for queens and tens and was awarded the pot.

Joshua Prager raised to 700 from under the gun and was called by two players in late position and the button.
The flop of K♥J♣9♦ saw everyone check to the 7♥ turn where Prager bets 1,200 which both players call.
On the river 4♠, Prager sized up to 2,200 and everyone folded.
At another table, RGPS Ambassador Tyler Patterson was eliminated.
