Rivera's Rags Turn to Riches

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Alex Rivera told us earlier he was playing any two cards, and he's sticking to that promise. On a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, Rivera led out for 4,000 and his opponent raised to 14,000. Rivera called, and the {8-Spades} appeared on the turn. Rivera checked, and then raised all in after his opponent bet. The other player called and the cards were tabled.

Rivera: {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Rivera had turned two pair and he improved even further with the {3-Clubs} on the river, sending another player to the rail. We're now down to our final 20 in Event #2.

Elia Busts Before Dinner

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

"Any Two Cards" for Rivera

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Alex Rivera is plowing through Table 2 and now boasts a stack of almost 320,000.

Moments ago, Antonio Guggino limped from early position and Rivera raised to 7,000 directly behind. Action folded over to Andy Postiglion in the blinds and he moved all in for 44,000. Guggino folded and Rivera got an exact count on Postiglion's stack before placing in a call.

Postiglion: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Rivera: {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Postiglion was in excellent shape to double through the {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {A-Diamonds} turn, but the {K-Hearts} drilled the river to give Rivera a better pair.

"Any two cards. That's how we're doing it," Rivera told us as he raked in another pot.
