100 And Counting

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

This event drew 112 entries last year and it appears safe to say that number will be annihilated today. The board reads 104 entries already and there's still 50 minutes to register and more than three hours to re-enter.

Joseph Re-Enters

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

"You gotta write that Tom Sartori hand," Jeff Joseph told us as he made his way to the cage to re-enter. After Joseph posted another $300 buy-in he relayed his bustout to us: Sartori shoved all in with eights on a five-high flop and Joseph called with kings, but an eight peeled off on the river to give Sartori a winning set.

Fortunately for Joseph, he drew the same table when he re-entered. "At least I have a chance to get him back."

With only one tournament in the books so far, there's still plenty of action to come at the 2014 Summer Slam. In addition to today's event there will be a brand new $125 no-limit hold'em event with a $50,000 prize pool that feature six separate starting flights across three days (July 28-30). The Summer Slam series will come to a close Sunday, August 3 with the conclusion of the $600 Main Event.
