In a hand before the break, Rick Block opened to 3,200 and Jeffrey Hobrecker bumped it to 7,800 one seat over. Alex Visbisky called and Block dumped his hand.
The flop came and Hobrecker led for 10,000. Visbisky called, the turn came the and Hobrecker jammed in for a little more than 25,000.
Visbisky took a second before calling with the and his set was good over Hobrecker's . The river was the meaningless and as Hobrecker hit the rail, Visbisky moved into the chip lead.

After another grind-it-out week, "The Collective" is 31-14 against the spread in the Las Vegas Super Contest. For the season, they are 5-0 when taking the Carolina Panthers, but that might change this week. As always, Rich Ryan, Donnie Peters, Brett Collson, and Mo Nuwwarah submit their top picks, arguing where they differ.
Michael Davis turned a baby flush against John Abraham's two pair and shoved it in for some 60,000.
Abraham made the call praying for the board to fill him up, but that didn't happen, vaulting Davis to a spot near the top and cutting Abraham's stack down substantially.

Not sure when the money went in, but it appears Brian Bowen got pocket aces to hold versus Peter Alba's pocket fives and just doubled up to 185,000.
Alba was left with under 70,000 and plans to rebuild over the next 40 minutes before play is through on Day 1a.

The clock was stopped with ten minutes to play in the 14th level and a draw was conducted to determine the number of hands left to play before bagging up for the night. They drew a six.
In the final few hands, Michael Davis flopped a set of kings against aces and a flush draw, finding a boat on the river to hold and push into the chip lead.
Plus, Peter Alba ripped it in over a Brett Short open with pocket tens, flopping a set and rivering a boat against Short's to climb above the 200,000-chip mark.
