$200 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 1a Started

Day 1a of the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic $200 No-Limit Hold'em Starts Now!

Fall is in full effect and as the leaves change colors and the temperature drops in Western New York, the collective attention turns to the Buffalo Bills playoff hopes and the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino where the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic is ready to pop off.

The Bills beat the AFC East rival New York Jets on the road Thursday and the action kicks off in the poker room today with the first two of four starting flights in the $200 No-Limit Hold'em $50,000 Guaranteed Event #1 set for 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. local time.

A host of the area's top rounders and colorful regulars are expected to turn up for the first morning flight, including 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event champ Rick Block.

The plan for each flight will be to play through 14 full 30-minute levels or down to 12 per cent of the starting field, whichever comes first.

Players will start out with 15,000 in chips and registration and unlimited re-entry is available through the first eight levels. Of course, even players who bag chips can fire in another flight, taking their best stack forward to Sunday's second and final day.

The Niagara Falls Poker Room has a long track record of obliterating its guarantees in these multiple-entry multiple starting flight events and the kick off of the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Should be no different as players come from all over Western New York and beyond to fire multiple bullets in the hunt for a big score.

PokerNews will be on hand throughout bringing you live updates of all the action as the crowds pour in so keep it locked right here.

Seneca Regular John Abraham took most of Yi Wei Lu and Maria Parlatore's chips turning garbage into gold to jump out to the Level 1 lead moments ago.

Parlatore limped what she would later claim was queens before Lu bumped it to 300 from the button with the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Abraham flatted from the small blind and Parlatore three bet to 1,000. Lu and Abraham called, sending the three of them to a {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. Abraham checked and Parlatore led for 1,600. Lu and Abraham both called and the turn brought the {a-Diamonds}.

Abraham checked again and Parlatore led out for 3,500. Lu flat called before Abraham pushed in for a little more than 9,000.

Parlatore pitched it in the muck, but Lu couldn't fold top two pair. Abraham turned over the prophetic {6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and trips held after the {4-Clubs} river.

"They don't like me very much now," quipped Abraham, raking in the chips.

Both Parlatore and Lu were left relatively short, busted a few hands later and bought back in.

Cameron Bartolotta
Cameron Bartolotta

After spending the last 100 days losing his mind chasing some mythical six-figure bad beat jackpot across the border, Canadian Cameron Bartolotta came back to his senses and jumped in the first flight of Event #1 here at the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic.

He let lost value in one hand and a counterfeited two-pair in an other drive him to tilt-call a raise and a re-raise with the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, but got his mind straight flopping a pair and turning trips to drag a huge pot and push up near the top of the early counts.

Dave Paluch
Dave Paluch

Orchard Park, NY's Dave Paluch claims he's only a Buffalo Bills fan when they win.

They did last night, beating the NY Jets 22-17 in New Jersey, so he's smiling today.

The grin may also be related to the fact he's jumped on board the early-double-up bandwagon here, making a straight on the river to crack one opponent's set and find a spot among the leaders.

Scott Aitchison
Scott Aitchison

The legend of Scott Aitchison continues to grow here inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room.

His Hendon Mob page was already looking akin to the annual schedule here at Seneca Niagara when he defended his big blind against a raise and a call with the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} moments ago.

Aitchison simply flopped the nut-flush draw, got it in three ways against kings and smaller flush draw and got there on the river to scoop a huge pot and put himself well on the way to yet another notch on his Seneca Niagara belt.
