Art Demmerley made it 1,200 from the button and both blinds called. The flop came and after two checks, Demmerley continued for 1,700.
Only the small blind called and they both checked the turn. The river came the and after the small blind tapped the table a third time, Demmerley bet 4,000.
The small blind called with , but his boat wasn't as big as Demmerley's, who held to pick up the pot and push over the 100,000 chip mark.

John Joslyn got it all in with two aces, but Vincenzo Abate turned into two pair to send him to the rail.
Apparently Abate just sat down, won the first hand he had cards and busted Joslyn with the second to vault up the leaderboard.

We walked over to Table 3 to see four players looking at a flop of . The player in Seat 6 moved all in for 7,000, Seat 9 folded, Randy Pfeifer reraised to 17,000, Scott Szatkowski moved all in for around 50,000, and Pfeifer called.
Pfeifer:
Szatkowski:
Seat 6:
Szatkowski was in front but everyone was drawing live for the main pot. The turn completed the straight for the shortest stack, and the shifted things again by giving Pfeifer a better two pair and the huge side pot.
"I got it in bad again," he told us with a smile. The other player made his way to the rail, but not before telling his bad beat tale to a friend.
Pfeifer, who recently made a World Poker Tour final table at Borgata, is sitting comfortably with 120,000 on his second bullet of the day.

Dave Lisacchi took down Event #6 at the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge Thursday night.
With 150 entries in the $200 No-Limit Hold'em event, first was worth $6,781.
Today, he's taken a seat in the Main Event right next to respected local rounder DJ MacKinnon, who ran up a big stack yesterday only to bust out in the later levels.
MacKinnon was a late registrant today, but has already found a way to earn more than a double up.
However, it was Lisacchi who got the best of him just moments ago. MacKinnon opened a pot to 1,300 but Lisacchi came over the top for 3,600 and forced him to fold.

Players are taking a 10-minute break, and we're taking one with them.
Armando Pagliari was one of the 25 players who survived this event's first Day 1 flight Friday.
But having bagged just 70,800, he figured he'd play again today and take a shot at building a bigger stack.
All is going according to plan so far, as Pagliari woke up with aces on the first hand of the day, snatched a decent early pot and has been building ever since, now on over 60,000.
