Pupillo Busts Dunbar, Has Heaps

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

After a flop of {4-}{5-}{6-}, Mark Dunbar got what looked to be his last 60,000 or so in against Nick Pupillo. Dunbar had {3-}{3-} for an open-ender and a pair, but Pupillo had him crushed with {7-}{6-}, a better hand and a better draw. None of Dunbar's outs emerged, and Pupillo added to an already-monstrous stack.

Players are on a 10-minute break.

Mike Schneider
Mike Schneider

Mike "Schneids" Schneider just lost the last of his chips, a bit under 40,000 according to the players at the table, when he got it in with {3-}{3-} in the small blind against Gennady Shimelfarb, who had {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} on the button. The board ran out {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, giving Shimelfarb a winning pair of aces.

Melander Quintuples Up; Surma Busts

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Todd Melander
Todd Melander

Todd Melander put his last 4,500 in from middle position and got four callers. Everyone checked the {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, and the {k-Clubs} prompted the player two to Melander's left to bet 6,000. Tony Hartmann called, and the other two players folded. On the {6-Spades} river, both players checked, and the player who bet the turn showed {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Melander had him outkicked with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and he dragged the main pot.

Green Forces Out Two, Collects $20

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Aaron Johnson
Aaron Johnson

Jim Lawrence opened to 5,100 under the gun, and Jay Green called. Aaron Johnson made it 14,800 in the cutoff, and Lawrence and Green both called, the latter taking some time. Everyone checked the {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, and a {j-Spades} arrived. Lawrence bet 24,000, and Green announced he was all in. Johnson thought briefly and folded, and Lawrence followed suit after some thought.

"Show it one time," someone said.

"Ten bucks from each of you and I will," Green said to his opponents.

The three haggled briefly but Johnson ultimately decided the price was fair and got a confirmation from Lawrence that he was willing to pay up as well. Green turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and collected his bills.
