Chad Holloway shoved all in for about 8,000 from an early position, and "Minnesota" Jon Hanner isolated with a reraise to 16,000, forcing out the remaining players.

Holloway: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Hanner: {k-}{k-}

Holloway didn't improve as the board ran out eight-high, and he's reentering.

Sell Sinking; Meyers and Bohn Bust

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Brandon Meyers busted his short stack.
Brandon Meyers busted his short stack.

Jason Sell just lost a big chunk of his stack when he got it in with a flopped flush but was up against the nut flush.

At another table, Brandon Meyers put his last 5,000 or so in from the small blind with {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and was called by a player holding {a-Spades}{10-Spades} in the big. Meyers was unable to find any improvement, and his opponent won with a turned pair of tens.

Blake Bohn also busted out.

Unlucky Lawrence

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

A player under the gun raised to about 1,800 and then called Jim Lawrence, who three-bet to 6,000 on the button. The first player checked the {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, and Lawrence bet 3,000. His opponent raised to 7,000, and Lawrence jammed, putting his opponent at risk for about 18,000. The player quickly called, turning up {7-}{7-}. Lawrence shook his head and showed {a-}{a-}, and he didn't find his two outer on the final two streets.

Surma Coolers Lang, Keeps Climbing

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Mike Lang said he had about 45,000 when he ran his {k-}{k-} into the {a-}{a-} of Lee Surma, whose hand held up for stacks.

"That's like the fourth time I've seen him bust someone with aces," Lang said.

Surma told the same story.

"No skill involved," he said. "Aces against kings three times."

Criego Sends Holloway Packing

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Chad Holloway
Chad Holloway

Mark Sandness opened for a raise in middle position and was called by Aaron Johnson on his left, Chad Holloway in the next spot, Bill Criego on the button, and the big blind. On the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Johnson bet 3,700 after two checks. Holloway pushed all in for 14,000, and Criego quickly announced all in as well. Everyone else folded.

Criego: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Holloway: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Holloway had a heap of outs against the top two, but he couldn't spike any of them as the {a-Clubs} turn was followed by a {3-Diamonds} river.
