Rob Wazwaz' hot start continues here as he just moved up close to the 60,000-chip mark.
After the player on his right raised, Wazwaz three-bet to 2,100. The raiser was the only caller and they went heads up to a flop.
After a check, Wazwaz continued for 2,625, but could not shake this foe. The turn brought another check, and another bet from Wazwaz, this time for 5,000.
It was enough to force a fold and Wazwaz moved up to a spot in the group at the top of the counts.
As mentioned previously, Wazwaz is the current leader in the hotly contested race for Minnesota Player of the Year. He currently has 456.25 points and the edge over Peixin Liu and his 410. Liu is also in this flight and among the chip leaders heading into Level 6.
A big hand for Chaska, MN's Mark Dunbar just saw him vault into a spot among the leaders.
He called a raise with the , enjoyed the splendor of a flop, fell in love with a turn and got all of one opponent's chips when he called off with after a river.
The player under the gun made it 600 and Pittsburgh, PA's Tom McKeough joined one other, calling on the button. The big blind came along for the ride, then tapped the table with a check when the flop was revealed.
The player under the gun continued for a whopping 2,500 and after one fold, McKeough spoke up.
"How much do you have behind sir?" he asked.
"About 13," the player under the gun retorted. "Lucky 13."
"That just may be," added McKeough, who then bumped it to 16,000. The big blind folded and the player under the gun called all in with .
Unfortunately for him, McKeough had the straight. The turn and river gave McKeough the knockout and spot among the early leaders now.
