Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., announced that the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, now in its fifth year, will return April 6-22, 2015. Held in the resort ballrooms, the 17-day series will feature the $3,500 buy-in, $5 million guaranteed WPT Seminole Hard Rock Championship with three starting flights beginning Thursday, April 16 at 12 p.m. local time.
Last year's Championship was the largest WPT playing field in history with 1,795 entries. Players may play any or all starting flights and choose their best stack. Reentry will be allowed for six levels, and the televised final table will be take place on Wednesday, April 22 in Hard Rock Live located in Seminole Paradise, with live coverage available on www.SHRPO.com.
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown will open with a $250 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed no-limit hold'em tournament with six starting flights starting at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. on April 6 and April 7. The poker action will continue with a $570 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed deep-stack no-limit hold'em event with six starting flights April 9-12.
The WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship final table will be aired on Fox Sports. Broadcast schedule will be released at a later date. We found Danny Dang with a bet of 15,800 in front of him on a flop of . One player was already all in, and another player called Dang's bet after a long debate between the players and the dealer about the splitting of the side and main pots. The turn came , and Dang shoved all in for about 50,000. His opponent folded fairly quickly, and Dang turned over for a set. The all-in player was drawing dead with .
A player opened under the gun for 2,000 and got a slew of callers, with Josh "JT" Turner first among them. When it was Jamal Sawaqdeh's turn in the big blind, he reraised to 12,500, and the opener folded. Turner shoved all in though, for about 65,000 total, and action folded to Sawaqdeh, who called.

A start went through the table as the dealer spread a flop, giving both players sets. Turner needed the last jack though, and neither the turn nor the river brought it.
Turner said he's coming back into the tournament shortly.
Corey Zedo opened for 1,200 in middle position and got calls from both blinds. Everyone checked the flop, and Henry Tran bet 2,500 on the turn. The big blind folded, but Zedo bumped it up to about 6,500. Tran called, then checked the river. Zedo bet 7,400, only to see Tran push in a tower of chips, what looked to be 20,750. Zedo pushed his cards forward after thinking briefly.
"Couldn't beat an ace," he said.
"What do you think I'm calling you with?" Tran replied
