Vierling Gets Value

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jessica Vierling
Jessica Vierling

With roughly 25,000 in the pot on a {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board, Jessica Vierling bet 23,000 in early position and a middle position opponent called.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Vierling jammed to put her opponent to the test for their 65,000 or so chips. Her opponent went into the tank before suddenly and quickly moving his chips over the line to signify a call.

Vierling revealed {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and her opponent threw down his {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} onto the table which was no good, and he was eliminated while Vierling added the chips to her stack.

Lonis Takes it on River

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player opened to 7,000 in early position and Jesse Lonis three-bet to 19,000 in the big blind. His opponent thought for a while and called.

The dealer fanned the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop and both players checked it through to the {5-Diamonds} turn.

Lonis led for 14,000 and his opponent called.

The {4-Clubs} completed the board and Lonis bet 44,000. His opponent thought for a bit before mucking his hand to surrender the pot to Lonis without a showdown.

Lonis Outkicks and Eliminates

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player on the button got their remaining stack of approximately 22,000 in preflop and they were at risk against Jesse Lonis in the small blind.

Button: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Jesse Lonis: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Lonis' big slick had his opponent pipped, and the board ran out {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to secure the pot for Lonis with his superior kicker.

Lonis has three MSPT Main Event cashes to his name and finished 12th at the previous MSPT Poker Bowl V at Venetian Las Vegas a year ago, which he will attempt to improve upon here.
