MSPT Grand Falls $1,100 Main Event ($200K GTD)
Day 1b Completed
The second and final starting flight of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Grand Falls Casino $1,100 buy-in, $200K GTD Main Event is in the books. Day 1b attracted 308 runners during Saturday's action, bringing the grand total to 532 entries (224 from Day 1a; 308 from 1b), putting it just behind the record-breaking field from this last August.
After reaching the hard stop in Level 15, just 47 players bagged with Chris Baker and his stack of 399,000 leading the way. That was a just behind Day 1a chip leader Darlo Vansurksum, who bagged 420,000.
Others to punch their tickets to Day 2 were Eric Eelkema (381,000), Saad Ghanem (340,000), Matthew Molsen (338,000), and Jovan Sudar (278,000).
Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to make it through the night. Among those to fire and fall in Saturday's flight were MSPT Hall of Famer Jason Seitz, along with MSPT Champion's Rob Wazwaz, Chad Bjorkman, and Jonathan Kim, just to name a few.
Day 2 will get underway at 11 a.m. local time and play to a winner with 73 players returning to the felt. The top 54 finishers will get paid with the eventual winner walking away with a $110,633 first-place prize.
PokerNews will be on hand to capture all the action, so be sure to join us then.

Breanna Skluzak was all in preflop from under the gun for 90,000 and Saad Ghanem called from the small blind.
Saad Ghanem:
Breanna Skluzak:
It was a classic race with Skluzak looking to connect with either of her two overs but the feat was easier said then done as the runout gave Ghanem a straight and ended her tournament.
