The Orca Swims On

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Alex Farcas
Alex Farcas

Action was picked up after the flop between a player in the big blind, and Alex "TheOrca" Farcas from under the gun in a significantly sized pot.

The big blind moved all in for 400,000 effective on the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Farcas took one look at his hand and called.

Alex "TheOrca" Farcas: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Big blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

"Nice hand," Farcas said as the turn {3-Spades} peeled. The river {8-Spades} gave Farcas a flush and he stood up, shaking his head in disbelief. The big blind paid the bet and Farcas sat back down still shaking his head at how fortunate the runout was for him.

DJ Buckley
DJ Buckley

DJ Buckley moved in his final 5,000 from early position and was called by a player in the hijack and John Dennehey in the cutoff. On the button, Joe Cada raised to 50,000 and both players called.

The flop of {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} checked to the {q-Diamonds} turn that saw Cada bet small and get two immediate folds, winning him the side pot.

DJ Buckley: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Joe Cada: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The river {a-Hearts} gave Buckley two pair and a much needed double to his stack.

The following hand, Buckley moved all in for 48,000 and was called by the big blind.

DJ Buckley: {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Big Blind: {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Buckley rivered a straight to double once more to a nearly 10 big blind stack.

Jason Kapoor
Jason Kapoor

Jason "Clozer" Kapoor raised to 22,000 from the cutoff and was called by a player in the big blind.

The flop came out {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and the big blind checked to Kapoor who continued for 16,000. The big blind quickly raised to 35,000 and Kapoor clicked it back to 115,000 total.

The big blind debated on his decision for a some time, then flashed a {q-Hearts} as he tossed his hand into the muck. Kapoors' face broke into a grin as he flashed {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks which was far behind the pair of queens as he raked in the pot.
