It's Merda

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Igor Merda
Igor Merda

From the cutoff seat, David Tuthill raised to 2,600. Current Day 1b chip leader Igor Merda called out of the big blind, and the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop came down. Merda checked, Tuthill bet 3,300, and Merda called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, and Merda checked again. Tuthill fired 5,300 this time, but Merda stuck around to see the river. Lastly, the {2-Diamonds} completed the board, and both players checked.

There was a bit of confusion as to who was to show first. Eventually, Merda showed his hand — the {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} — for a pair of sevens. Tuthill mucked, and Merda won the pot.

After the hand, there was a bit of discussion between the players and the tournament staff as to what the rule is here for who has to show first on the river following action being checked down. The tournament staff said they are following standard TDA rules, minus the "first card off the deck" rule, and that the player to the left of the button must show first.

Karp Busts Chinni

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jesse Chinny opened to 2,500, Joe Ebanks flat-called, and then Steve Karp reraised to 10,000. Chinni shoved for approximately 30,000, Ebanks folded, and Karp called.

Chinni had pocket queens to Karp's {A-Spades}{K-}. The flop came down {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} to give Karp the lead and he held from there.

Fortini Sends One Home; Seth Returns for Fourth Bullet

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
