There field will play out three more 45-minute levels here on Day 1b before the remaining competitors bag and tag their chips. Hayden Fortini currently leads the way with just under 100,000, but everyone is chasing the stack that Stephen Sindler built on Day 1a — 211,600. From yesterday's flight, 12 players remained and they'll join up with the remaining players from today plus any late entries tomorrow for Day 2.
Andy Seth was all in with the , but he was up against a dominating for Igor Merda. Following a flop, turn, and river of , Seth was eliminated. Merda collected the pot and moved to 84,500 in chips.
Chris Lewis opened the action with a raise to 1,600 from middle position. Right behind him was David Tuthill in the hijack seat, and Tuthill reraised all in for 15,625. Then, Andy Seth moved all in from the button to around 40,000. Action folded back to Lewis, but not after the small blind tanked for quite some time. Lewis also folded, leaving Tuthill and Seth to do battle.
Tuthill tabled the for two big suited Broadway cards against Seth's . The flop was about as kind as Tuthill could have hoped for when the gave him the nut flush. The turn was the , rendering Seth dead in the hand before the landed on the river.
Seth sent over the chips and dropped back to about 25,000 while Tuthill jumped up to nearly 35,000.
Terry Plagenz called Jeff Tomlinson's all-in shove on the board. Plagenz held the for second pair and claimed he didn't think Tomlinson was there yet. Tomlinson was indeed there with the , leaving Plagenz drawing dead.
The river completed the board with the , and Tomlinson doubled up to 32,500. Plagenz was knocked back to 43,000.
Jesse Chinni and Joe Serock have both reentered, bringing the total number of entries up to 40 for Day 1b. Serock is now on his fourth bullet in this event.
With about 4,600 chips in the middle on the flop, Frankie Zayas bet, Andy Seth raised, then Zayas shoved. Seth quickly made the call holding the for top two pair. Zayas had the for middle pair and an ace kicker.
Seth was all in on the flop for a total of 18,475, and he was able to double up after the turn card and river card. Zayas was left with 54,000 in chips.
Jesse Chinni was all in for around 8,000 with the and in dominating shape to double up against Hayden Fortini's . On the flop, though, Fortini took the lead when the fell. The turn was the to give Chinni a Broadway straight draw for a little extra hope.
The river completed the board with the , and that was the end of the line for Chinni. Fortini collected the pot and moved up to 70,000 in chips.
