Bardah Done Nasty

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ronnie Bardah has a lot of descriptions — World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner, Ivey Poker pro, and PPC Aruba ambassador — but he won't be adding PPC Aruba World Championship champion to that list. He was just eliminated by Andy Seth.

From middle position, Seth opened with a raise to 3,600. Bardah moved all in for 19,400 from the hijack seat, and action folded back to Seth. He thought for a tiny bit, then said, "I don't think I'm folding." He then thought for a little bit more.

"This would be such a nitty fold," said Seth, and then he tossed in the chips to make the call before showing the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

"I knew you had that hand once you started talking!" exclaimed Bardah, pointing over to Seth's cards. Bardah showed the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a dominating position to double up.

The flop was a dirty one, though, or should we say "nasty" due to Bardah's nickname of "RoNasty." It came {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades} to deliver Seth with a Broadway straight. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {A-Hearts}. Bardah was eliminated while Seth climbed to 173,000 in chips.

Tuthill and Solorzano Battling

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Picking up the action on a hand between Edgar Solorzano and David Tuthill, the final board read {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} between the two. Solorzano was first and bet 10,500 with just about 12,000 behind. Tuthill made the call. Solorzano showed the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, but it was no good against Tuthill's {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Shortly thereafter, Solorzano raised all in from under the gun for 11,600 and Tuthill called from the next seat. Everyone else folded, and it was Solorzano's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} against Tuthill's {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran through {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to give Solorzano the double up.

Seth Folds to Franklin

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} board, Andy Seth led with a bet of 3,500. His opponent, Ryan Franklin, raised to 10,800. Seth called. Then, the {8-Clubs} paired the board on the river. Seth checked, and Franklin bet 21,100. Seth mulled it over for a bit, but eventually folded, and Franklin won the pot.

Seth Busts Pearson and Takes Chip Lead

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Andy Seth
Andy Seth

Since returning for Day 2 with just 33,100 in chips, Andy Seth has shot up the leader board, and he's now on top of the field. Seth just busted late registrant Charles Pearson to take the chip lead and move over 200,000.

From the hijack seat, Seth raised it up. Pearson reraised on the button to 10,000, then action folded back to Seth. He put out a bunch of yellow T5,000 chips to set Pearson all in. Pearson called.

Seth: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Pearson: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Pearson was out the door. Seth now has approximately 208,000 in chips.

Third Time Not a Charm for Shortell

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Tim Shortell satellited his way into this event three different times, but the saying "third time's a charm" will not apply to his run in this event as Shortell was just eliminated.

Action folded to Shortell on the button, and he moved all in for right around 20,000 with the {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Antonio Storno reshoved from the small blind with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Jimmy Peters folded from the big blind, and it was Shortell versus Storno.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and Shortell was eliminated.

Chinni Calls the Cards

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jesse Chinni
Jesse Chinni

Jesse Chinni moved all in for 28,500 before Pieter S. reraised all in behind him. Everyone else folded, and it was Chinni's {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} behind the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for Pieter.

"Seven," whispered Chinni as he hoped to come from behind.

The flop was void of a seven, though, as the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} came out.

"Eight," whispered Chinni so he could possibly hope to pick up a straight draw.

This time the poker gods heard him as the {8-Clubs} came on the turn.

"Five, five," Chinni whispered some more.

The dealer dealt the {5-Hearts} on the river, and Chinni had indeed come from behind to double up. Pieter was left with about 13,000 in chips.

Full Double for Fortini Through Ebanks

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Hayden Fortini and Joe Ebanks
Hayden Fortini and Joe Ebanks

Hayden Fortini and Joe Ebanks were all in preflop in a massive, 200,000-chip pot. Fortini had {A-}{K-} and was flipping for his tournament life with Ebanks' {8-}{8-}.

The board ran out {K-}{7-}{4-}{2-}{9-}, and Fortini won the pot to move to 205,000 in chips. Ebanks was left with 129,000, which is still a very healthy stack.
