Dolan and Kruger Clash Again; Kruger Eliminated

With the flop reading {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Justin "Choctaw" Kruger led out for 1,500 only to find John Dolan raise the action to 4,000. The rest of the players folded and Kruger flat called the bet.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Kruger led out for 5,200. Dolan thought about his action for about a minute before opting to call. The board paired on the river when the {5-Clubs} hit and Kruger moved all in for about 17,000. Dolan quickly called and Kruger showed {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Dolan, however, tabled {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for nines and fives with the ace kicker, sending Kruger to the rail.

Kruger talked with us afterward and informed us that he will indeed be firing a third bullet during Day 1c. Dolan, however, is sitting on one of the biggest stacks in the room today with 65,000 in chips.

Wright Doubles

With the board reading {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, there were two checks to Larry Wright who pushed out an oversized bet of 7,900 into the pot. The next player to act called and the two who checked folded their cards.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Wright moved out another stack of yellow t1,000 chips and black t100 chips. His opponent shrugged and announced that he was all in which was actually all in for Wright who only had about around 3,000 left behind after that bet. Wright called and showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a turned flush and was killing his opponent's {J-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight.

The {6-Clubs} fell on fifth street and completed the board, awarding Wright a double up. Wright made note to tell us that he was down to 2,100 at one point during the day and after some griding is currently sitting on about 45,000.

Richey Doubles Through Jejelowo

AJ Jejelowo opened the action with a raise to 1,100 in early position. James Hoeppner called from the next seat, a player in middle position called, and Heath Herring called on the button.

Next to act was Brett Richey in the small blind and he squeezed all in for 5,625. Jejelowo four-bet iso-shoved all in for roughly 14,000, chasing away the rest of the players.

Richey tabled {A-Clubs}{6-Spades} and held a slight lead against Jejelowo's {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, securing the pot for Richey.

Kessler Runs Into Wheel

We caught up to find Allen Kessler heads up in a pot with an opponent. The flop read {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Kessler bet out 2,200. His opponent called and the {5-Spades} fell on fourth street, putting four to a straight on the board. Kessler bet 3,000 and his opponent called without any hesitation.

The {8-Hearts} came on the river and Kessler slowed down with a check. His opponent bet 3,000 and Kessler threw his arms up in the air.

"You called me with ace-high and now I have to fold this," said Kessler as he showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

"How could I fold this?!" retorted his opponent who showed Kessler {A-}{Q-} for the wheel. With this loss Kessler's stack is now at about 28,000.

Short Stack Doubles Through Jejelowo

The remnants of a hand were strewn across the felt when we arrived at AJ Jejelowo's table. A short stacked player was all in and at risk with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} against Jejelowo's {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The board fell {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Jejelowo ended up with the second best hand, forcing him to ship over 5,235 of his chips to another player at the table. Jejelowo was left with only about 4,000 after this hand.

Henson Five Outed

Ray Henson has been on a roll today and was cruising to a six-figure stack before suffering a minor setback.

There were two early position limpers before Henson and he limped in from the cutoff as well. The small blind called, the big blind checked, and a {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop fell. The player in the small blind led out 3,000 and action folded around to Henson.

He promptly raised to about 20,000, covering his opponent's stack. After about 60 seconds in the tank, the player in the small blind called all in for 13,550 with {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Henson had him beat with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, but the {Q-Hearts} landed on the turn to give his opponent two pair. The {9-Hearts} river was no help to Henson, now down to about 73,000.
