Gary Lucci just finished doubling someone up and decided to move all-in for his last 615,000 chips in the cutoff. Kevin Rivest moved all-in from the small blind and the big blind got out of the way.
Lucci tabled , up against Rivest's .
The flop came and Rivest took a commanding lead with a pair of kings. Lucci picked up some outs when the hit the turn, but the river was the and he headed for the payout desk.
The eighth and final level of the night has begun. In just 60 minutes, the remaining players will bag up their chips to come back for Day 4 tomorrow where the tournament will play down to a winner.
Marc Guerbilsky opened to 140,000 from middle position and was called by a player in late position. Action folded around to Gary Lucci in the small blind and Lucci shoved all-in, having both of his opponents covered.
Guerbilsky called, putting himself at risk and the player in late position got out of the way.
Lucci:
Guerbilsky:
The board ran out and Guerbilsky held to double up.
We got to the table as Kevin Rivest five-bet shoved for about 2,400,000 before the flop and Armand King called for his last 1,700,000.
Rivest tabled first, and King exclaimed, "I don't mind ace-king because I'm going to hit a jack!" as he tabled .
The flop came and King continued to ask for a jack. The turn was the and Rivest yelled out "Now give me a jack!" as he turned a straight draw. King could only hit a king, but the river was the and he was eliminated.
With about 800,000 in the pot already, on a board reading , Ruben Perceval checked from the big blind. Aaron Czaja was on the button and bet 225,000. Perceval called.
The river was the and Perceval checked. Czaja bet 320,000 this time and Perceval went into the tank. After about a minute, he check-raised all-in for 2,205,000. Czaja looked confused and torn, and asked for a count. He went into the tank for about five minutes. Eventually the waitress came by and set a plate of food down behind Perceval. She walked away and Perceval decided to reach into his pocket to pay for his dinner. He put some money back into his pocket, and that was when Czaja tossed in a single chip to call.
Perceval tabled for two pair sevens and fives, and Czaja triumphantly tabled for two pair jacks and fives to scoop the massive pot worth just shy of 10 million in chips. Perceval was eliminated and calmly moved his chips over to Czaja's stack before walking away from the table.
A player in early position opened to 140,000 before Richard Kerkerian three-bet shoved all-in for just over 1,000,000. Daniel Pepin four-bet shoved over the top closing the action.
Kerkerian:
Pepin:
An unfortunate spot for Kerkerian but he wasn't completely dead. "You have two flush draws," offered a tablemate. The board fanned out and Kerkerian was sent to collect his winnings.
