"This Shit Blows My Mind": Savage Slide for Sauvageau

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Josue Sauvageau
Josue Sauvageau

Joe Tehan tried to raise from early position, but he made a forward motion and then pulled back his chips, so the dealer ruled it to be just a call. Action folded to Josue Sauvageau in the small blind and he decided to complete. Matthew Wilkins was in the big blind and raised to 185,000. Tehan had a confused look on his face and eventually just folded. Action came back around to Sauvageau and he limp-raised to 575,000. Wilkins thought for a moment and eventually shoved for 2,325,000. Sauvageau snap-called for about 2,100,000.

Josue Sauvageau: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Matthew Wilkins: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"This shit blows my mind", said a stunned Tehan. It was a flip for a massive, four million-chip pot.

The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Wilkins paired his king to take the lead. Sauvageau started to get up from his seat as the dealer put out the {9-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river. Wilkins scooped the big pot and Sauvageau headed for the door.

Magni Makes a Move, Dansereau Sees Through

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Garrett Dansereau
Garrett Dansereau

A massive pile of chips had accumulated in the centre of a pot between Tomas Larivee Magni and Garrett Dansereau.

We arrived at the table on the river of a {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} board as Magni was sliding a bet worth 700,000 towards the middle. Dansereau took no time making the call and Magni tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for just ace-high.

Dansereau quickly turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and his pair of jacks was good to scoop the monster pot.

"Write This on PokerNews! Two Idiots Go to War!"

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Matthew Wilkins
Matthew Wilkins

We got to the table as the dealer was cutting out chips in a big hand that went down pre-flop.

According to the table, Josue Sauvageau raised to 90,000 on the button and Matthew Wilkins three-bet to 210,000 from the small blind. Sauvageau four-bet shoved for 1,110,000 and Wilkins tank-called.

Sauvageau was at risk with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, flipping against Wilkins' ace-eight off-suit.

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Sauvageau held to double-up, taking a big chunk out of Wilkins' stack.

As Sauvageau was raking in the pot, Joe Tehan piped in and said, "Write this on PokerNews! Two idiots go to war!" he joked. Both Wilkins and Sauvageau laughed it off and play continued.

Dominating Double for Alizai

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Fakher Alizai opened to 95,000 from late position and Allan Puzantian three-bet shoved all-in from the big blind. Alizai snap-called, putting himself at risk.

Puzantian: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Alizai: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Alizai had Puzantian dominated and scored an easy double up on the {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} board.

Puzantian was eliminated a couple of hands later.

Eight-Ball. Corner Pocket.

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Gary Lucci raised to 90,000 from under the gun and Michael Khan moved all-in from the cutoff for 300,000. Matthew Paplyk was on the button and raised to 600,000. Lucci folded.

Khan only looked at an ace, and the dealer revealed he had {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, up against Paplyk's pocket kings.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Khan picked up some outs after pairing his eight. "Eight-ball!" yelled Khan. The turn was the {5-Spades} but the river was the {8-Spades} to give Khan trip eights to survive.

Barbosa On His Way Out

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Garrett Dansereau raised to 90,000 from under the gun and Tomas Magni three-bet to 275,000 from the hijack. Alex Barbosa was in the small blind and called for his last 190,000. Dansereau folded.

Barbosa was at risk with {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} but was unlucky enough to run into Magni's {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Barbosa couldn't catch heat, sending him to the rail in the first hand back from dinner.
