Filatov Felted in Three-Way All-In

Level 4 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Anatoly Filatov was all-in for 54,000 and Jaesung Lee looked him up from one seat over. Jonathan Little then also got his 77,000 in as well while Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was standing near Filatov for a possible interview.

"You gonna win this one for sure," Grospellier said as Filatov had also just lost an all-in showdown on GGPoker as well, when Filatov showed his 1010.

Lee had the A9 and Little then exposed JJ.

"Oh fuck, maybe not," Grospellier joked.

The A86 flop pulled Lee ahead with a pair of aces but the J turn gave Little a set. Filatov was drawing dead and Lee also had zero equity ahead of the 3 river to ensure a near triple-up for Little.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 3 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With some 75,000 in the middle to the 1073Q turn, John Armbrust bet 25,000 out of the big blind. Jeff Gross went into a brief tank during which his videographer came up close to film the action. No exciting content would follow as Gross opted to fold.

Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

Chris Brewer raised to 9,000 from early position before Sunghak Lee shoved from the big blind. Brewer checked his cards again and called.

Chris Brewer: J9
Sunghak Lee: AK

The board ran out 752J7 and Lee turned a flush to send Brewer to the final day of the $10,000 6-Handed High Roller, which is about to start on the other side of the room.

Elsewhere in the room, Shaun Deeb and Christian Roberts are out.

Gavlick Eliminated by Zhou

Level 3 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Quan Zhou
Quan Zhou

Quan Zhou had already doubled his stack before he was moved tables and then raised to 8,500 in the cutoff. Ian Gavlick pushed all-in for the last 38,000 on the button and Zhou reluctantly called.

Ian Gavlick: 109
Quan Zhou: 86

Gavlick nodded when he found himself ahead but fell behind on the KJ8 flop. The A turn gave Gavlick the superior flush draw to go with his open-ended straight draw but the 2 river was the ultimate brick.

Rheem Sets an Early Pace

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chino Rheem raised to 7,000 from late position before Aaron Duczak made it 20,000 from the next seat over in the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way and Rheem was the lone caller.

The flop was 105K and Rheem check-called a bet of 30,000 from Duczak.

The turn was A and Duczak got the rest of what looked like 60,000 chips into the middle.

"Good game," Duczak said as Rheem turned over QJ. Duczak had QQ.

The river was an inconsequential 10 and Duczak was out of the tournament.

Elsewhere in the room, Vidar Assersen was knocked out of the tournament.

Biao Ding
Biao Ding

With some 60,000 in the middle to the J87 flop, Robert McAdam bet 18,000 in the small blind and Biao Ding called from under the gun. McAdam jammed the 5 turn and Ding asked for a count.

The shove was for 88,500, which Ding had covered by a few big blinds, and the call followed shortly after.

Robert McAdam: AK
Biao Ding: AJ

"Good call," McAdam sighed and found no escape on the 10 river.

Zubov Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a multi-way pot to the 1092 flop, Shelley Rubenstein and Adam Swan opted to check. There were some 80,000 in the middle and Aleksandr Zubov bet 30,000. Rubenstein folded and the same also applied for Swan, awarding the healthy pot to Zubov without any showdown.

Moments later, the dealer announced a seat open on a nearby table and Pete Chen headed to the payout desk. The WPT and WSOP champion has earned a min-cash of $1,400 for the efforts and there are 91 players remaining in the second level of the day.

The Next Two to Fall

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alan Khoo was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his chips were sent to Adam Swan. On a 542108 board, Swan's 44 for a flopped set of fours won the pot.

The same table lost another player right after as Phillip Nagy came up short against Diogo Cardoso.

Josh Arieh, David Williams
Josh Arieh, David Williams

Sean Troha was the first player to bust and he was soon followed by David Williams. The latter lost a big pot when jamming the 104256 river with some 135,000 in the middle. Wai Lo reluctantly called for his last 85,000 and was good with the AK. Williams flung his cards towards the muck and the dealer pulled them in.

Soon after, Williams headed to the payout desk.
