WSOPP Bracelet

WSOP officials announced the “WSOP Paradise Parlay” by GGPoker, which is a chance for players that cashed in the 2023 WSOP to parlay their summer success into additional cash during 2023 WSOP Paradise.

It’s very simple – if a player earns 10 cashes between the two series, they will receive $5,000; if they make three final tables, they’ll get $25,000; and if they capture two bracelets, well then a hefty $100,000 additional prize awaits!
Support for the WSOP’s new promotion was overwhelmingly positive.

Raus Flops the Nuts

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

In a pot with a completed board reading 2956A, Michael Acevedo on the button and Martin Raus in the small blind arrived to the river after a bet and a call on the flop and a checked through turn.

Martin Raus paused briefly before reaching into his stack and coming back with a lead for 3,500,000 into a pot that already contained close to 6,000,000 chips.

Acevedo was not slow in counting out chips and putting in the call only to see Raus turn up the A3, causing Acevedo to quickly send his cards into the muck as the dealer sent the pot over to Raus.

In a hand with a dead small blind, action folded to Yuzhou Yin on the button who jammed for 6,925,000. Josef Snejberg was in the big blind fresh off busting the 10th, ninth and eighth place finishers and entered a short tank before deciding to make the call to put Yin at risk and set up a runout.

Yuzhou Yin: J8
Josef Snejberg: K10

The board ran out 395A6, securing yet another elimination for Snejberg as Yin is sent to the rail in seventh place for $46,100.

Liviu Bartha Eliminated in 8th Place ($35,600)

Liviu Bartha
Liviu Bartha

Josef Snejberg opened to 1,000,000 from under the gun and Liviu Bartha defended from the big blind.

The flop came 654. Bartha checked, Snejberg fired a 750,000 continuation bet and Bartha check-raised to 3,000,000, leaving approximately 3,000,000 behind. Snejberg moved all in with a covering stack and Bartha snap-called, putting himself at risk.

Liviu Bartha: 44
Josef Snejberg: 66

Both players had flopped a set but Snejberg had the best of it with top set in what could only be described as a brutal cooler. Bartha was left drawing to one out and couldn't find the case four on the K turn or 7 river, resulting in his elimination while Snejberg continued to dominate the final table.

Nazar Buhaiov Eliminated in 10th Place ($21,800)

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Nazar Buhaiov
Nazar Buhaiov

Jackson Santos opened to 1,000,000 from early position and Nazar Buhaiov three-bet to 2,500,000 from the hijack.
Josef Snejberg then put in a four-bet to 7,500,000 from the cutoff, sending Santos deep into the tank.

Santos considered his options for over three minutes before opting to fold. This time it was Buhaiov's turn in the tank. Buhaiov thought about his decision for an additional five minutes, occasionally sneaking a quick peek at his hole cards. Eventually another player called the clock and shortly afterwards Buhaiov five-bet shoved for roughly 12,000,000 total. Snejberg, who covered Buhaiov slightly, snap-called to put Buhaiov at risk.

Nazar Buhaiov: AK
Josef Snejberg: AK

A chop seemed immenent until the Q87 flop gave Snejberg a flush draw. Buhaiov dodged a heart on the 7 turn but the 5 river gave Snejberg the ace-high flush. Buhaiov became the first final table casualty of the day while Snejberg dragged in the largest pot of the tournament so far.

Action folded to Josef Snejberg in the small blind who limped. Ami Barer checked his option in the big blind to see the flop come KAJ.

Snejberg led out with a bet of 500,000. Barer thought briefly before putting in the call and watching as the 10 hit the turn.

Action checked through relatively quickly to bring the K out on the river.

Snejberg led once more, this time for 1,000,000. Barer checked his cards again and paused before deciding to toss his cards toward the muck, conceding the pot to Snejberg without showdown.
