Hairabedian Gives His Little Chicken Credit

One hand prior to this {Hand #81) Freddy Deeb had threebet Roger Hairabedian out of the small blind, raising his 9k to 34k and taking the pot. This being four-handed, the very next hand the positions were reversed with button Deeb making it 9k to go and Hairabedian upping it to 34k in the blind. Deeb looked uncertain, and Hairabedian went down the schoolyard taunting route:"Chicken! Greedy chicken," he suddenly said.

"Maybe you are right," replied Deeb, but tossed in the call nonetheless.

The flop: {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {2-Clubs} Hairabedian now checked, and Deeb bet 18k after chewing gum pensively for a moment.

"My little chicken!" said Haireabedian, oddly. Call.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs}, another check from Hairabedian, and another bet - 22k.

"You are very strong in this hand," he said, before passing. Deeb then turned over two cards not visible from where we are sat, but it was clearly a bluff because Sorel Mizzi mentioned something about a straight draw.

"I might lose my chips but I don't lose my heart!" he announced, raking in the pot.
