Eros Nastasi Eliminated in 13th Place (€7,000)

Eros Naastasi
Eros Naastasi

Eros Nastasi saw the action fold around to him in the cutoff and he raised it up, then called when Serkan Kurnaz three-bet from the small blind.

The dealer burned a card and fanned out the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Kurnaz fired a continuation bet and Nastasi made the call. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and both players tapped the table and checked. The river was the {9-Diamonds}, Kurnaz checked, Natasi shoved 200,000 and Kurnaz asked for a count.

Armed with the information that a call would be 200,000 he made the call and turned over {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a pair of jacks and Natasi had to show his {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a complete bluff.

Francesco Favia Eliminated in 12th Place (€8,400)

Despite holding almost 500,000 chips at the last count, Francesco Favi's tournament is over.

Favia opened from the cutoff and found three callers, Jack Salter on the button, Serkan Kurnaz in the small blind and Yorane Kerignard in the big blind. The layer saw the dealer place the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop onto the felt, and they checked to Favia who bet 37,000. Kerignard check-raised to 67,000, which forced everyone else out of the pot but Favia.

"I'm all-in," declares Favia and Kerignard cannot believe is luck and he makes the easiest call of his life with {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Favia flipped {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and was in a whole world of trouble.

The {A-Clubs} turn nor the {6-Spades} river were any help to Favia and he is out of the WPT Malta Main Event.

Salter Doubles Through Ryynanen

Jack Salter is back in the game after a timely double up through Sampo Ryynanen.

It was Yorane Kerignard who opened to 12,000 from the cutoff, Ryynanen three-bet from the button to 30,000 and Salter four-bet to 50,000 from the big blind. Keirgnard folded but Ryynanen made the call

The duo shared a {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Salter quickly moved all in for 160,000 and after almost 90 seconds deliberation Ryynanen made the call.

Salter{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Ryynanen needed a nine and only a nine to prevent Salter from doubling up but both the turn and river bricked and Salter finds himself with 375,000 chips.

Ilan Boujenah Eliminated in 11th Place (€8,400)

Ilan Boujenah
Ilan Boujenah

The tournament area is a quieter place after Ilan Boujenah has just lost his stack. Tony G opened to 14,000 from the button, Jackson Genovesi three-bet to 40,000 from the small blind and the split second he three-bet Boujenah four-bet all-in. Tony G folded {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the active duo showed their hands.

Boujenah held {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Genovesi the {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Boujenah busted and Tony G looks upset that his lowly pair of fives would have won him a big pot had he called.
