Langrock Busts Butzhammer

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Thomas Butzhammer
Thomas Butzhammer

Jose Carlos Garcia raised preflop and got called by Thomas Butzhammer on the button as well as Sebastian Langrock in the big blind. On the {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} {3-Clubs} flop, Langrock checked, Garcia bet 2,100 and was called by Butzhammer and the other fellow German. On the {10-Clubs} turn the action was checked to Butzhammer and he bet 6,000.

Langrock put him all in and Garcia folded, Butzhammer sighed and then said "ah well" before tossing in his remaining 16,000 chips. He needed help with {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} against the {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} of Langrock and the {10-Hearts} on the river wasn't one of the cards he needed.

MacPhee vs O'Dwyer

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Kevin MacPhee raised to 1,200 and called the reraise of Steve O'Dwyer to 3,200. On the {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {7-Hearts} flop, both players checked and MacPhee check-called a bet of 3,700 on the {J-Hearts} turn. O'Dwyer's bet of 9,200 on the {5-Clubs} river was however too much for the American, he mucked the cards.

Deadman and Compagno Gone

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Simon Deadman lost the fight with his short stack and Paolo Compagno just walked past us out of the tournament area as well. One other player on the former table of Deadman is doing better lately: online qualifier Carla Larson slowly climbs back up to starting stack.

Thomas lost in Translation

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

In a battle of the blinds, a pot of 5,700 chips emerged until the river of a {Q-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {K-Spades} board. Julian Thomas made a bet but the amount is unclear, as we arrived when a T-5,000 chip was in front of the German. Jonathan Klüpfel instantly moved all in and Thomas was completely lost.

For minutes he tried to get some information of his opponent, talked through all the hands that he could or should have and simply couldn't make up his mind just yet. He ultimately called all in for 12,875 with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} and was shown {K-Clubs} {3-Hearts} by Klüpfel to get back up to almost starting stack.

Not a Good Shift

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Paolo Compagno bought in not that long ago but so far seems to have a rather bad day at the office, falling to less than one third of the starting stack. Timur Margolin doesn't have much more, in the most recent hand he paid off the {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} of chip leader Fahredin Mustafov on the {8-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} {7-Spades} river for 3,000 and then mucked.

Deadman Even Shorter

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Out of the big blind, Simon Deadman check-called a bet of 1,300 on the {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {6-Spades} flop and then checked the {5-Hearts} turn. His opponent, who had raised from under the gun, checked behind and quickly called a bet of 1,600 of the Brit after the {5-Clubs} river. Deadman showed {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} but it was no good against the {K-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} of his opponent.
