Van Riet Busts Hagenbeuk

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Bastian Hagenbeuk started out so strong today, but he couldn't keep his momentum going. Or the cards were just not going his way. Or he ran bad. Or, make of it whatever you want, but he's out now.

He was down to about 9,000 when he shoved over an open raise. Pim van Riet behind him flat called, despite his intention of re shoving, and the initial raiser folded.

Bastian Hagenbeuk: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Pim van Riet: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and by the time the turn was out, Hagenbeuk already got up and wished the table good luck.

Nut Flush for Stephensen

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Felix Stephensen
Felix Stephensen

World Series of Poker Main Event runner up Felix Stephensen just raked in a very nice pot to bump his stack to over six figures.

The Norwegian pro raised to 700 and the player on the button called after which the action went heads up to the flop.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Stephensen bet 1,500, his opponent called. On the turn the {6-Diamonds} hit an Stephensen bet 4,500, after which he was raised to 10,000.

Stephensen tanked for a bit and called and the river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds}. Stephensen checked on the river and this time his opponent bet 11,000. The Norwegian pro tanked for a bit and called, after which he tabled {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Stephensen's flush was good against {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the Norwegian sits on 105,000 right now.

Boeken Busts Mizrachi in Crazy Hand

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken

Noah Boeken was busy texting, but we almost missed him as he was hiding behind some huge towers of chips. Upon request Boeken told us about a hand which happened quite some time ago.

After two limps (one of 'em being Michael Mizrachi), Boeken raised it up to 2,000. A player in position called, the first limper called, and Mizrachi called. The four of them saw a flop of {J-}{6-}{3-} rainbow and action checked to Boeken who bet 4,500. The first player folded, both players that had limped before the flop called again.

The {2-Diamonds} on the turn made for a second diamond. Again both players checked to Boeken and the Dutch Master Classics of Poker champion bet 15,000. The first player shoved all in, Mizrachi called all in for 14,000, and Boeken called the little extra.

Limper: {10-}{10-}
Noah Boeken: {A-}{J-}
Michael Mizrachi: {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Boeken needed to fade tens, diamonds and fives, and did so with the {7-Hearts} on the river. That pot catapulted Boeken to the top of the field, eliminated Mizrachi, and crippled the third involved player. Boeken's good friend Joep van den Bijgaart re entered and is playing 30,000 again.

Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Salter's opponent lead out for 6,000 and the British EPT Grand Final runner up moved all in. This put his opponent at risk for 20,000 total, and he made the call.

Salter: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}, {4-Spades} and Salter raked in this big pot.

Walthaus Busts Another One

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Jorn Walthaus
Jorn Walthaus

Jorn Walthaus wasn't so succesful on his first bullet, but he's doing much better on his second. He first doubled, and now knocked out another player.

WSOP runner up Felix Stephensen opened with a raise to 1,200 and action folded to the small blind who three-bet to 2,800. Jorn Walthaus in the big blind cold four-bet to 6,300 and Stephensen folded, the small blind called.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Walthaus bet 3,200 and the small blind shoved all in. Walthaus made the call.

Small blind: {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Jorn Walthaus: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The {7-Spades} on the turn and {3-Diamonds} on the river were blanks, and Walthaus collected his neighbor's chips.

"Pascal told me you just play aces," table mate Raoul Refos laughed, "and I'm starting to believe him." Refos isn't doing too bad himself, he plays about 77,000 at the moment.
