Before the break Gary Lucci pushed past the two million-chip mark and into the lead.
On the button, he limp called a Jonathan Karamalikis raise from the big blind preflop, going heads up to a flop.
Karamalikis bet 80,000, and Lucci called, sending them to a turn that they both checked.
The river came the and Karamalikis led for 65,000. Lucci called with for two pair and Karamalikis could only show jack-high.
There won't be another final table appearance at the Playground Poker Club for Jeff Gross this time around.
The 2013 WPT Montreal third-place finisher is out 13th after running into Trevor Delaney's pocket jacks and failing to improve.
