Albert Hoekendijk, a regular on the Dutch tournament circuit with some nice cashes over in the United States as well, just clashed in a small pot with both long time online pro Erik van Leer and EPT and MCOP champion Noah Boeken. Guess who came out ahead?
From middle position, Van Leer opened for 625. Noah Boeken called on the button before Hoekendijk squeezed from the big blind to 2,100. Both Van Leer and Boeken called. Everyone checked on and the hit the turn. Hoekendijk bet out 3,100 and just Van Leer called, Boeken folded.
Hoekendijk checked the on the river and Van Leer checked behind after thinking about it for a bit. Hoekendijk showed and Van Leer instantly mucked.

World Poker Tour Amsterdam and WPT Tournament of Champions winner Farid Yachou busted yesterday after pushing the action with and running them into . Just now, he again lost chips with treys.
We saw the big blind check on a flop of and under the gun player Yachou bet 700. Just the cutoff called, the big blind folded. Both Yachou and the cutoff checked on the turn and the completed the board. Yachou bet a firm 1,800 and was quickly called. Yachou tabled for just about the nut low, the cutoff showed and took it down.

Tobias Peters is sitting right along side Kees van Brugge, and the two have been chatting all day long. To say that it's one sided wouldn't be fair, but as per usual it's Tobias Peters doing most of it. The rest of the table is enjoying the banter as well, with Rob Strong, Jer el Salsero and Steve Warburton all joining in the conversation from time to time.
Just now, we saw the flopped getting checked through on . The hit the turn and small blind Toine Roecoert bet out 1,200. Kees van Brugge folded and Tobias Peters slammed his on the turn, happy to have taken down a pot with Van Brugge open folding to him. His smile disappeared for a second when he was informed Kees van Brugge actually hadn't just thrown away his cards without being prompted to, he in fact had folded to the bet of Roecoert.
"Ow! I didn't even know Tony was in the hand!" Peters exclaimed.
Peters was informed he was still able to play his hand, though the was now known to Roecoert of course. Peters called while noting this was a first for him.
The completed the board and Roecoert checked. Peters checked behind and showed his after Roecoert admitted to have nothing while showing his .

That makes for a combined field of 265 so far, and registration will remain open till the start of Day 2. Last year a total of 341 entries were made, but that year players had the option to reenter once a day plus before Day 2 for a maximum of 5 entries, while this year its a maximum of 3 entries per player.
As we arrived, Rob Strong was just seen checking from the small blind on a flop of . On the button Tobias Peters made a bet of 525 and Strong called. Strong check called another 1,450 on the turn and the completed the board. Strong checked for the third time, and Peters contemplated what to do for a bit before betting 3,850. Strong snap called.
