Tou of Duty

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Amir Touma was all in on a {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop holding {J-Spades}{9-Spades} against Denis Kuzmin's {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Touma was getting up to leave.

Turn: {7-Spades}

Touma pauses.

River: {Q-Spades}

Touma sits back down with his newly acquired 20,000 stack. Kuzmin drops to 23,000.

Nitsche Loses Out To Merheb

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dominik Nitsche is still nicely chipped up but he just lost a small pot to Ramez Haddad.

Both players checked the {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop but when the {5-Diamonds} landed on the turn Nitsche took a stab at it with a 1,300 bet. Haddad was having none of it though and he raised to 4,000. Nitsche did not have the goods to call and he sent his hand into the muck.

Vedes Goes Postel

Tommy Vedes' tournament has come to an abrupt end at the hands of Iwan Postel.

A preflop raising war broke out between Vedes (BB) and Postel (BTN) that resulted in Vedes moving all-in with {k-}{q-}. Postel made the call with a suited {a-}{k-Spades}, which held, and as Vedes left the tournament area Postel started to stack his 60,000 stack.

ZZ Bottom

Zimnan Ziyard
Zimnan Ziyard

It's not going to be former EPT Champion Zimnan Ziyard's day, he had bet 1,350 before Artur Voskanyan made it 4,100. Two other players folded and Ziyard made the call to see the {K-Diamonds} on the turn.

Ziyard checked and Voskanyan made a bet of 7,200, the British player tanked before moving all in for 11,075 more and when Voskanyan didn't instantly call, Ziyard must have thought he had the best hand.

After a couple of minutes Voskanyan did call, with {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Ziyard needed an ace, queen or king to help him out with his holding of {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. The river was the {7-Spades} though and ZZ was out.

Huge Pot For Local Player Kosmadhis

One of the largest pots of the tournament so far has just gone down over on Table 6 that has seen Cyprus' own Iraklis Kosmadhis catapulted to the top of the chip counts.

The chips went flying in on a board reading {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and there were two players, Auteri Vicenzo and Elias Abou Saleh all-in and at risk of elimination and still two players left to act! Kosmadahis called all-in and when Yakup Elyakim folded the cards were revealed.

Vicenzo: {K-Spades}{J-Spades} for top pair king-kicker

Abou Saleh: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} for top pair top kicker

Kosmadahis: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush draw.

The {4-Clubs} on the turn kept Abou Saleh ahead but the {6-Diamonds} on the river improved Kosmadahis to a hand winning flush and as he covered both all-in players he won himself a monster pot.

Vicenzo left the table as quiet as a mouse but Abou Saleh slammed his identification tag down on the felt and stormed off out of the tournament area.
